george fan is wildly underrated and damn do i wish we had more content of her and her sisters + a more in-depth exploration of her relationship with victoria.

Nick: You can't let Ted publish this. Carson is a lawyer. Ted could get sued.

George: Trust me, Nick, Nancy isn't going to sue.

Nick: It’s libel.

George: It's not libel. It's a... premonition. Now, Ted, go over it again one more time.

Ted: "You're okay," Nancy sighed in relief. Without thinking, she swept Ace into her arms and kissed him.

3x2 broke my heart because it really showed how the fan sisters haven’t felt much love. their job in this episode was to keep nick distracted. there are a billion and one ways to do that, and each and every one of the younger girls used sarcasm and insults to keep nick from getting close enough to see george’s frantic searching. 

jessie called nick the serial killer, confusing him and pushing him away, forcing him to find some other person to talk to about vegetarian snacks - something right up jessie’s alley. 

charlie blatantly insulted him and his music taste when he was trying to hype her up and complement her. it would have been easy for her to lead him away to the speakers and change the music if she really did think it was bad. but she chose to resist him instead. 

and lastly, ted. ted is the one who’s most accustomed to nick - he even saved her life twice. but she still shut him away when he tried to help simply so he wouldn’t stick around and see george. asking him to help her with the surface area of a pyramid would have distracted him just as well as insulting him. 

bess, on the other hand, suffered just as much as the fan sisters, but has found her way to cope and turn her pain into energy. she simply laid out a fact to keep nick away: don’t bring pig hearts into a restaurant or the customers will be confused. nick accepted this right away.

george has described herself as prickly because of her hard upbringing - resistant to and sometimes unaware of love simply because she’s never experienced it, and her sisters are no different. one big reason why nick is so perfect for george is that he gives love readily, and will serve to be a positive and nurturing influence in the three younger sisters’ upbringing - something george never got.
