The door clicks shut behind Titus as he goes back into the house.
They taken all his weapons and armor, placed ankle bracelet on him and hooked up an elaborate redstone machine to the land, rigged to blow with TNT in case he tried to escape.
He sinks into the couch, sobbing loudly and violently.
Brutus and his men hadn’t changed at all. They were crass as usual, and they kept calling him that word. Firestar.
It was a piglin word. A slang term, for someone who didn’t have a family.
He hated it.
It’s not that Titus was an orphan. He wasn’t, but... his parents didn’t exactly like him very much.
It’s not his fault they tried to marry him off to some brutal tyrant. Thank god he met Techno when he did.
Piglin’s don’t have kings or queens or monarchs. They have generals and majors and captains instead. One of the highest honors you could have bestowed upon you is to be the spouse of one of those generals.
Titus’ family had never been very wealthy. His father and his father’s father and his father before him and so on were all blacksmiths-- he learned everything he knew from his father and older sister. His family made all sorts of weapons for the general and his army.
Growing up, Titus never acted like other kids, let another other boys; he was sensitive, easily frightened, and overall just very kind. He used to cry if you squashed a bug in front of him when he was a child. Not exactly good solider material.
And so, when his parents were made an offer to marry off their son to his in exchange for status, honor and money, they said yes.
Unfortunately for Titus, the man they wanted him to marry was Brutus.
Brutus was like if you had taken all of Techno's worst traits and given them an ego the size of the moon, with a little bit of a superiority complex.
It wasn’t that he was a bad lover. He never hurt him, at least. He just... wasn’t a very good one, either.
Brutus was violent. He was short-tempered. He absolutely loathed it when people told him he was wrong, especially when he saw them as beneath him.
He remembers feeling so... trapped. Was this all his life was gonna come to? To be a pretty face and touted around like a trophy?
And then, like a hero coming to save the princess from the dragon... He met Technoblade.
Brutus and Techno were so alike, yet oh so different. Where as Brutus would regularly talking down to Titus, Techno listened to him carefully. Brutus didn’t care what he thought or said; Techno took his every breath into consideration as if it were a life or death situation.
When Techno (or you, for that matted) kissed him, he felt alive. Like he was a living, breathing creatures with thoughts, dreams, wants, needs. It was electric. Made him feel tingly inside, made his heart pound and his mind race.
When Brutus would kiss him, he remembers feeling so... dirty. Used. He hated himself more and more the more he tried to appease him.
When you or Techno make love to him, he feel like he's on cloud nine; a special kind of bliss as he chases his own high while getting drunk on the noises both of you were making, be it your soft gasps or quiet begging or Techno's groans or growls.
Whenever Brutus would have sex with him, all he remembers is feeling disgusted with himself. And even more than that, he felt so... alone.
One night, Techno had snuck his way into his private quarters. He said, "I found a new realm, I want to start over there." He had looked at him, crimson eyes somewhat hopeful. "Would you come with me if I ask?"
And so, one week before he was supposed to be married, Titus Valirus made a choice: he ran. He ran away with the very man that, in just a few years, he would fall deeply, utterly in love with.
He sighs, his tears long run dry. He was tired. He just wanted to sleep, now. He had no idea if you or Techno would return to him, but gods, he hoped you would.
He lays down, slowly finding himself fall asleep and hoping this was all just a bad dream.
You end up getting lost in the sewers.
They're so massive. Long, winding, interconnected and most of all confusing tunnels, running along the whole realm. You end up meeting up with Techno again, though he seems a little distracted. You note the blood that's now on his pickaxe & armor, but you don't say anything.
Techno leads you out, taking you out the tundra, but stops as he notices the redstone line.
Techno goes underground, and follow him; you both disconnect the redstone line, and he lead you both to back into the house.
When you come back in, you're greeted by the sight of Titus, sat by the fireplace. He tried sleeping, but it didn't last very long. He kept having nightmares.
He embraces you both, quickly and fervently kissing you and Techno.
You are so relieved to be in Titus' arms again. You smile, telling him how happy you are to see him.
With tears in his blue and red eyes, Titus cups your cheeks. "Are you kidding me? I thought I'd lost you both." He kisses you again, and Techno, who lets out a soft laugh.
"Alright, I can already see where this is goin'. Not that I'm complainin'... but first." He says, looking down to the iron ankle monitor around Titus' leg. "We're gettin' rid of that."
Techno sits Titus down at the table, putting his leg up. After some fiddling, you're able to get it off, and once it's off Titus, Techno uses an axe he finds in the armory to destroy it.
Titus jokingly remarks that Techno could crush him like that, and Techno smirks, kissing him wildly and saying, "Don't you test me, boy, I'll actually do it."
They started making out, kissing each other all over, pulled you in, and soon you three were upstairs in the bedroom.
You and Titus make quick work of your clothes, Techno watches in awe of his two lovers as you Titus touch each other all over your naked bodies.
Techno removed his shirt, showing his scars from many battles, as well as a couple tattoos he had all over his body (mostly magic protection runes). He pulls you both into his arms, whispering how much he loves you both-- he would say it every day, until the end of time. He loved you. He loved Titus. You were both his world, his sun and his moon, and he would do anything to be with you both for the rest of time.
Gently, he kisses you. He kisses Titus. You kiss at his neck and shoulders, and Titus does the same.
There's a crash downstairs.
All three of you jump up, but no one more so than Techno. He instantly goes into protector mode, reaching for the sword that was always hidden behind the bed.
"I swear to Zeus himself, if Brutus and his boys are still here I will kill someone."
You and Titus quickly dress, and you follow Techno downstairs, ready to protect your home.
You go down into the basement, and...
...find a boy in a very familiar red and white shirt digging through your chests.
