Self Esteem
What is self esteem? Something tangible like a wall in which you can build upon. Is it something you were born with, and only have so much to ration throughout your life. Self esteem. It’s never there when you need it to be. Only there when you understand that you have confidence in yourself and you no longer need that wall to support you. As we grow and go through life’s many quests, we add bricks to our wall of self. Each carefully lain with the binding cement memories. Memories of boys who were lovers, friends who were givers, and mothers who did both of those things. Then, the key notions we receive from these memories form the brick. The brick that will be placed in your wall forever. If we learn to control what these bricks consist of, we can make our walls stronger as we persevere throughout life. We can control what we listen to, and what hear and pay attention to. By learning the skill of being our own construction builders of our wall, we become the truest form of ourselves. We can become the passionate humans we were made to be.
