best duo in the game pt.2
AU Where Aha'ri's death was the last straw for Alma and she leaves TAP with the children into the forest with no plan.
Single mother to 8 kids 💀. In case you guys didn't know there are four other sarentu students mentioned in the game so they are here too
She trusts the air.
I trust her.
So I was trying to get a picture of my Sarentu's Ikran, Telisi and So'lek's Ìley next to each other for a pattern/colour comparison and I--
-- this fuckin doofus...
... SMILED for the camera
Also here's their best xenomorph impression
New headcanon…what if one or more of the other TAP kids had lived?
In this case, what if Yefti had survived the demolition of TAP, but wasn’t one of the ones placed within a cryopod? They would be, by now, around So'lek’s age, and maybe like Rasi, they would have been too afraid and haunted to have connected with the other clans of the West.
Drifting through the Kìnglor like a bit of a wraith, perhaps Yefti became a sort of tall-tale amongst the Aranahe. The ghost who steals food you’re too slow to store. The reason your extra bow disappears, or there’s suddenly less within the pile of silk you wove. Perhaps the Aranahe don’t truly mind; maybe some of the elders even believe that this ghost is one of their lost Sarentu friends, unaware of how close to the truth such an idea is.
The years go by, and eventually Yefti hears a name they assumed most had forgotten.
Sarentu.
Only, it wasn’t in reference to the meat they took, or the strangely-bare dapophet trees along Mentor’s River. This time, they spoke of four wandering clan members, so new to the forest they should have called home. Though the ache of loss and regret is still overwhelmingly fresh, eventually Yefti finds it in themself to search for these remaining Sarentu.
At first, they watch the four from a distance. Stunned that their clan-siblings survived. Ridiculously proud of all they are accomplishing. The ache slowly turns into something familiar, something not so rough around the edges. Something Yefti can push down long enough to draw closer to the others, always just meters away when, yet again, their grief becomes a raw and powerful thing which drowns them. And so they hang back a while longer.
Until the day that Nor is the one to stumble upon Yefti deep within the forest, catching them unaware. He is absolutely dumbfounded—how is it that someone he grew up with could be here, now, very much looking the age that they all should be? All at once, he is elated and yet also heartbroken. What must Yefti had seen in sixteen years the others slept? Why were they on their own? Why had he only discovered them now, after being free for a good long while?
I don’t know. Just something I keep thinking about. We never got a super definite answer regarding the fate of the other four (named) TAP kids, and that kinda boggles me sometimes.
My Telisi (my ikran can be pink if I want her to be)
Tamtey is not at all pleased with the Suspicious Noises in the cave.
I have so many afop screenshots and I will share them all!
To the RDA she is 'Death on Wings'
