My autonomic system, in the middle of the night: Er, excuse me: we, um, don't seem to be able to get temperature regulation going? So we're a liiittle overheated and you need to wake up right tf now and lie in front of a fan for like half an hour until the internal thermostat says we're good and then maybe we can sleep again.

Me: Isn't this literally your job to manage?

My autonomic system: We have a lot of jobs, okay, it's a lot of pressure! 🥺😭

temperature intolerance is the worst because I’ll be shaking and freezing as if im in Siberia so I turn my heat on and then im in the Sahara desert. look vexing ass body, you can’t have both. PICK A TEMPERATURE AND STICK WITH IT

as it turns out I’ve been torturing myself by forcing myself to endure temperatures I can’t tolerate as I have POTS MECFS and MCAS among others and so I finally had to put my AC in and whadaya know I’m no longer dying😛😛😛 apparently I was delulu to believe these jank ass medical professionals saying “it’s so important to recondition your body to temperature” apparently it’s actually not possible for me to recondition to temperature as I ran a 100.4 degree fever

Guys. I hate summer. A lot. Because at least when it's winter I'm just cold all the time and I shiver and people think I'm weird for wearing a coat all the time. But in the summer it's like I go from being freezing when it's 60-something degrees in some over-air conditioned restaurant to practically passing out on the sidewalk when it's 90 plus outside.... And apparently now my body can no longer handle it when it is more than 71 degrees in my room, so I'm like sweating and panting and getting spots in my vision and being all of the tachycardic and filling with all the rage....
