The day had started out normal, business was always on the agenda. Nothing new and nothing different. It was one of the quieter days as of late and he wasn’t going to complain about that. Some quiet days were needed in a lifestyle like his but in the end it also put him on edge. Sometimes things being too quiet was a sign for worse things to come. Sitting back into his chair, fingers begin to twirl the pen in his hand as green gaze is locked the computer. Messages pinging in to update him on shipments, deals, all run of the mill things and yet something wasn’t sitting right with him. Call it a gut feeling but something was telling him this day was going to end badly. How badly was what he was unsure about. Andrei hoped it was a simple misstep, nothing more. An inconvenience to the business that he could right the next day. However, he didn’t entirely realize how wrong that hope was.
A message from Cezar pinged to his phone, breaking the silence of watching the screen cycle through messages and emails. Seeing the opening line in all capitals and reading ‘urgent’ wasn’t something he had wanted to see. What followed was a message telling him to go to meeting room one, now. Several Romanian curses left his lips as he quickly shot up from his desk chair and flew open the double wooden doors to his office. His look was serious as he sped walked to the very room Cezar had told him to go. Throwing open the main meeting room’s doors, he saw a familiar figure there but it wasn’t Cezar. Gaze narrowed as he took several steps forward until it finally hit him. What was she doing here? And during the day? That most definitely wasn’t a good sign. Dammit, why hadn’t he been alerted that she had driven through the gate? Did Cezar send her right through? He better have a damn good reason for it. Approaching the smaller figure, she doesn’t receive a warm welcome as arms move to cross over his chest.
“You being here, right now, at this time isn’t a good sign.” He starts out to say. “What is it? What’s wrong?” Straight to the point as he often was, he needed to know just why she was here. And what could have made Cezar so damned worried that he used his rank to bypass security.
