Betty followed as Jughead lead Jellybean into the only room in the Whyte Wyrm she had yet to venture inside. The one opposite the meeting room on the second floor.
Jughead switched on the light and the details of the room came into view. On one side was a large wooden desk adorned by a computer on one side and trays of documents and binders on the other. Beside the desk was a tall, single-column filing cabinet and a bookshelf.
An office, this is an office. Betty summarised, however, after walking further into the room she spotted the mattress that was hidden behind a divider curtain on the other side of the room, that said otherwise.
âThis use to be my room before I took Dadâs.â Jughead said, plopping an extra blanket down on the double sized bed.
âHow long has dad been gone?â Jellybean asked.
âFew months.â Eleven months. Jughead wouldnât say exactly how long, that would worry his sister. He flung the extra blanket over the bed. Jellybean was the kind of person that was always cold, she always had been when she was actually in Jugheadâs life at least. She still was, she appreciated the extra blanket.
âWhyâs he been gone for so long?â Jellybean asked, if she only knew.
âThatâs a conversation for another day, just get some sleep.â Jughead told her, heading for the door.
âGoodnight, Elly.â Betty said from the doorway with a kind smile, one that was quickly and easily returned by Jellybean.
âGoodnight guys.â Jellybean said, toeing off her shoes.
Jughead locked his apartment door, as he always did, before they head to bed. Heâd put his number in Jellybeans phone before taking her down to the office and told her if she wanted to get into the apartment to call or message him.
Betty hopped into the bed beside Jughead and he pulled her into his arms.
âIâm so glad youâre here.â He said with a crooked smile.Â
âWeâre lucky mom had to go out of town or I probably wouldnât be.â Betty chuckled. Alice had to go out of town for an important press conference, fortunately for Betty her dad went too, much to Aliceâs dismay. Her parents were still working things out at The Register, they were both still working there for the time being.
âWhat she doesnât know, wonât hurt her.â Jughead said mischievously as he pressed his lips to hers...

This intriguing historical romance is nothing short of captivating! This story was engaging from the start with broken characters perfect in their imperfections. The emotions displayed by these main characters...have an intensity that will have readers being held captive until the satisfying ending you crave. I couldnât get enough of Felicity and Gabriel and I loved every minute of it!

This was full of warmth and softness, unspent lust and unfulfilled need. Danger and deception. Such strength and respect. I had a smile on my face the entire time. I laughed and swooned and worried! Brilliantly written. The sizzling chemistry between Gabriel and Felicity was off the charts!! You could almost feel the sizzle.
