Random tenkouma headcannon, they both like horror movies
Tenko likes slashers because she likes to imagine herself fighting the killer and saving all the girls (and guys too I guess)
Kokichi likes psychological horror because he knows he could completely dismantle a villain's motive and he finds that hilarious
I feel like Kokichi and Tenko would also both be really picky about horror films, Tenko cant handle any movie that's overtly sexist unless its about a sexist getting punished because she just starts ranting and pacing, but she LOVES movies about women revenge and slashers with less sexist vibes, or just any horror with a more female orientated cast. Though during the movie she's actually very jumpy and easily spooked despite her bravado before and after.
Her favorite would be Alien though I think, I think she'd love Ripley and because she likes the idea of a COOL SCIENCE LADY helping her do things and that she could carry stuff for her while she sets up traps and stuff. Plus whenever the Xenomorph kills anyone else she's like "people just hate to see a girl winning"
Kokichi also likes mindless slasher because its funny to see the faces other people make and to see how weird they can get but he 100% loves psychological thrillers, and also comedies. She would really enjoy IT I think, funky clown, source material that she can give cursed fun facts about, psychological horror, it's all up her alley. Really she's good with most horror movies though, if it bores her she can just play up how scared she is to get into Tenko's attention and onto her lap and she can tease her when Tenko gets all scared. Absolute win.
So what I'm saying is Tenko and Kokichi are handshaking over Saw, not only do they they both love Amanda Young so much, Kokichi gets to talk about how he could get out of saw traps and Tenko gets to see some shitty men get their karma and how she would protect the women who get caught up in it
Also because people can get nasty about this ship....
