Terry Pratchett, Pyramids
The Pyramids post as promised! Teppic and Ptraci are a bit flat and underwhelming as main characters, but as a Classicist I'll always have a soft spot for the Ephebian philosophers and their paradoxes (and Endos, their Listener!) Dios is also an interesting character but mostly comes off as a first draft of the much better-realised Vorbis in Small Gods...

Farewell Pteppicymon XXVIII. We hardly knew ye.
All the canon art is hideous slander and I was picturing Assad Zaman anyway so enjoy the most 2011 deviantart thing u ever did see

The Assassins' Guild school is literally dark academia. There's even murder inhumation involved.
scene from Pyramids, comics version
idnk why i currently so obsessed with Pyramids while that apparently not the best book among DW series, nor popular in the fandom. but i desperately wanted to find some content
so i decided to do the comics version of fav bit from the book myself because I can
(and i got a little carried away, someone plz stop me)
mind that text is slightly changed
“She has refused to take the potion, sire.”
“Sorry, I thought you said it wasn’t compulsory, Dios.”
“Yes, sire. It is not, sire. It is entirely voluntary. It is an act of free will. And she has refused it, sire.”
