Standing up for something that is much bigger than you, you never know where it might lead, but you have to try. This has to stop, it will take time, but if we don’t start this path then how many innocent children will grow up without their mother or father to such a senseless thing? How many will not call the police because they are scared? How many innocent people will continue to go to jail? Black lives movement, just like the civil rights moment is bigger than ourselves and is taught to our children, racism is taught. We are not born with hatred. We must fight for these rights that should have been given to everyone in the first place- FREEDOM. ••• #PhilandoCastile #TerenceCrutcher #SandraBland #EricGarner #MikeBrown #RekiaBoyd #SeanBell #TamirRice #FreddieGray #DanroyHenry #OscarGrantIII #KendrecMcDade #AiyanaJones #RamarleyGraham #AmadouDiallo #TrayvonMartin #JohnCrawfordIII #JonathanFerrell #AltonSterling #SylvilleSmith •••••••••• #takeaknee #colinkaepernick #nfl #police #rights #blacklivesmatter #blm #solidarity | #Repost @collective_voices ・・・

THE GREAT AMERICAN KNEED - 2018 (TuTchT American Swag Series) Featuring Ronald Epps. (This is a detail excerpt, scroll back to see the full image.) Although there has been a concerted effort from the White House to tie the “take a knee” protests to disrespect for the American flag, the national anthem & the military… the protests are (and have ALWAYS been) about the unjust killing of unarmed Black men by those tasked to protect and serve. I’ve been attuned with the Black Lives Matter movement from its inception. My 2016 American Swag joint “We Hold These Truths” addressed this topic, but only 2 months later the issue hit VERY close to home when Terence Crutcher was killed by Betty Jo Shelby. (She was acquitted, of course; and adding deeper insult, she then attempted to get the incident expunged from her record….nice.) I’ve been close to Crutcher family for many years here in Tulsa and had watched tragedy strike the family too many times. Kaepernick’s protests were never about disrespecting the flag. However, using the flag as a political tool to increase racial division is maybe the ultimate disrespect. @therealronaldepps #TuTchT #TuTchTIMAGING #ThruTuTchTEyes #TuTchTAmericanSwag #TheGreatAmericanKneed #RonaldEpps #TakeaKnee #NFL #BlackLivesMatter #Kaepernick #TerenceCrutcher #Tulsa #BettyJoShelby #TuTchTModelPortraits #AmericanSwag #IndependenceDayTraditions
#Repost @mclyte with @get_repost ・・・ We must continue to bring attention to this matter. Let’s repost and spread the word. We will have Justice, let’s fight as if victory is won. Quitting isn't an option. #Reposting @drtiffanycrutcher-- Is it against the law to have drinks and decide to go eat at waffle house? Which is really not the point here...that narrative is a distraction from the real issue. The ladies simply asked for plastic utensils and the staff lied and said it would be 50 cents when they had eaten there the night before and received them free. She wanted the number to corporate to report a complaint of poor service and it escalated from there. Let's deal with the root of this. Are we not suppose to question when we know things are wrong? Also, The way the officers handled this UNARMED lady, was totally unacceptable. He threatened to break her arm, put his hand around her throat, and had her exposed. All this over a request for plastic utensils and the number to corporate?? Officers should be trained to de-escalate and calm simple situations like this down. They could have assessed the situation, listened to both sides, and chose to handle the situation better. Studies show that the linguistics and tone of police officers when talking to Blacks are a lot less polite compared to other races. The entire story has not been revealed. Other people in the restaurant saw what happened on both ends and the TRUTH will eventually come out. We must stop making blacks feel like they are responsible for their abuse when it comes to police brutality. This is a community issue that requires a community response. Dylan Ruth got Burger King and killed 9 people, the waffle house killer got taken without incident and the judge gave him bond initially, the Florida school shooter got taken alive without incident and pleaded not guilty to killing 17, and this lady got manhandled for asking for some plastic utensils?
