Oh it's NEVER too late to talk about Ray Palmer and you know it!!

How I feel about this character: um I love him more than words could ever say, he's a pure cinnamon roll. He means the world to me. I could write 500 essays on this man.

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: Nora forever and ever because they are meant to be and I will love them til always. But uh...also... coldatom was my first legends ship so I am a Snart and Ray supporter. Mick and Ray gets complicated because I'll just take whatever I can get but hey wouldn't be opposed to shipping atomwave romantically. And then we have steelatom which is a whole other confusing time!!!!

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: This will forever be the hardest question to answer. Like above, I just want atomwave in any capacity and I love their grumpy grump cheerful cheerful dynamic so it's probably Mick and Ray but Zari and Ray is a CLOSE second, I love their friendship especially in "Phone Home."

My unpopular opinion about this character: I don't know if it's unpopular but I do know that people thought it was time for him to leave legends and I have an entire tag on this blog that would prove otherwise. Also maybe he shouldn't have married Nora so soon.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: boy where do I START?? Uh would love to know the deal with his dad?? Did he have one???? What was their relationship like????? Why didn't we ever see his frick fracken BROTHER?????? I wanted to see Ray and his brother interact like Phil looked me straight in the eyes to say we ran out of stories when we know next to NOTHING about his life!!!

Favorite friendship for this character: I guess I can add SteelAtom here because I love them but I don't like Nate by himself 😂

My crossover ship: I still don't know what this means?? Like from an unrelated show?? Nah my aroace brain can't do that.

Sara shouldn’t have left Haircut in charge of the decorations. He went over the top on everything. Blue and white garlands were strewn everywhere. Red bows were on anything that protruded from the wall. And then there was the mistletoe. There had to be at least two pieces in every room, including his own. How he had gotten in there, Mick had no clue. But now he was stuck under it with Amaya in front of the whole team at the entrance to the parlor.

“Oh no,” he shook his head. This wasn’t happening. He didn’t need this

“Awww, but it’s holiday tradition,” Sara reminded him with a wink. “Come on, Mick. You too, Amaya.”

Jax nodded, a shit-eating grin plastered on his face.

Amaya glanced from him to Ray. “Is this really necessary?”

Ray shrugged. “It’s for holiday cheer.”

“This is not for holiday cheer. This is blackmail.”

“I promise I will not photograph it, Mr. Rory,” Gideon chimed in.

“Yeah, but it doesn’t-”

“Oh, come on,” Amaya sighed, turning around on the step above him and kissing him soundly. “See? That wasn’t bad.”

Mick was frozen in place. Everyone was cheering but he could barely hear them. Amaya smiled as she left with Jax and Sara a moment later. Mick didn’t budge.

Ray smiled over at Mick. “Aw, buddy! You like-”

“No,” he lied.

“Yes, you do!”

“Shut up!”

Best ships of the decade?

Oooh very hard let’s think; I’m going to not be a stickler this time HAHAH and just go with best for me hm (...plus some that I think really were the best) 

Jaime and Brienne right up until GOT messed them up 

Eugene and Rapunzel are hands down one of the BEST ships out there. Beautiful amazing, communication, 10/10 

I think Marvel’s Spideychelle is fantastic and I love seeing these two awkward kiddos in love. I think they’re fantastic 

Also speaking of Marvel, while shockingly enough they’re not an OTP, I think Pepperony was a beautiful love story to watch. They showed the lows and struggles of being in a relationship but remained a great couple; one that I was definitely invested in following 

Jake and Amy are such a beautiful ship; love and communication?????  Unhealthy relationships whom, rip to them but Peraltiago’s different 

Okay also while we’re at B99 while they’re also not my OTP, Holt and Kevin are objectively THE BEST couple on B99  

Fry and Leela from Futurama have one of the best love stories that I have EVER seen hands down. Doubling down for Jim and Pam from The Office, the iconic love story 

I thought Nathan & Elena’s love story in the Uncharted series was super compelling; another one that showed the highs and lows of being in a relationship that I thought was really well done 

Cheleanor from TGP are the literal definition of “in any universe I will find you and love you” and they are just perfect

Karen and Frank from Marvel Netflix were the best couple the Marvel Netflix series ever had and the fact that they never actually officially got together is a CRIME

Hope this is an okay question to ask - what would happen if two gems with their gems in the same place (like both have their gems on their chest) were to fuse? Would there just be two gems next to each other, would there only be one gem, or something else entirely?

It seems most likely that the two gems would arrange themselves side-by-side in some manner. Of course, it could always be interesting to see what happens when that isn’t the case…

They’re barely out of sight of the team when Ray grabs Mick’s wrist and all but drags him into the nearest alley. Mick doesn’t even have time to ask him what he’s doing before Ray shoves him against the wall and kisses him so hard that the cut on Mick’s lip stings.

It takes Mick a few minutes after his back hits the wall to work out why this is weird. Although, to be fair, he’s a bit distracted by the way Ray keeps grabbing at his ass with one hand and is failing to unbuckle his belt with the other. Ray can be pushy when he wants to (and Mick enjoys it a lot), but Ray’s not the sort to do anything like this in a public place.

“What’s got into you?” is all that Mick gets out when Ray finally stops kissing him long enough for Mick to actually say something, and he almost regrets it because Ray moves just far enough away that he can no longer feel Ray’s hard-on pressing against him.

“Nothing. Well, something, maybe? Just seeing you and that guy talking got to me for some reason--did you weld this thing on this morning?” Ray doesn’t look up from working on Mick’s belt, fingers fumbling awkwardly with the buckle. 

Guy... Mick grabs Ray’s hands to stop him from doing anything else, because there’s only one guy who could have made Ray act like this recently, and Mick isn’t sure if he’s amused or insulted.

“Haircut, are you jealous?” Mick asks, and smirks at the flush that he can see spread across Ray’s cheeks, even in the piss-poor glow of the street lights. Interesting. And hotter than Mick wants to admit, even if Ray thinking that he’d ever fuck Evan McCulloch is borderline insulting. They’re not even friends; McCulloch’s just always happy to help Mick out with information because Mick had always sold him any drugs he’d unexpectedly came across for half what McCulloch had to pay anywhere else.

Mick carefully lets go of Ray’s hands and unbuckles his belt slowly, letting Ray’s hands slip to his sides until they’re hooked in his belt loops, already tugging lightly when Mick undoes the button and flicks down the fly.

“Wanna make sure you’re the only one I’ll be thinking about, huh?” And it’s supposed to be a joke, and maybe Mick isn’t quite prepared for the heat in Ray’s eyes when he nods and shoves Mick back against the wall, shoving Mick’s jean’s down just far enough to get one hand in Mick’s pants. “Fuck, Haircut.”

Hell, if it gets him slammed against a few more walls, maybe Mick’ll see if he can dredge up some of his old fuckbuddies to get Ray all riled up. Trench Coat can probably scare them off after they’ve served their purpose...
