Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines (1965)
You have to understand the way I am, mein Herr A tiger is a tiger, not a lamb, mein Herr You'll never turn the vinegar to jam, mein Herr So I do what I do when I'm through, then I'm through And I'm through, toodle-oo
This is why Syl hates Dick, he influences his niece to be gender nonconforming. Look at her, she’s wearing men’s clothes! The scandal! Now she’ll never find a good husband! She will tho, but maybe good is not the best descriptor for Clyde. Joke aside, I took a lot of inspo from the bi-con herself, Marlene Dietrich for the drawings. Dick is basically cosplaying Marlene’s character Lola-Lola from Der blaue Engel (The Blue Angel) while Penny is dressed as Mademoiselle Amy Jolly from Morocco. Regarding the movies, I liked the iconic scenes from it, but overall I wasn’t too into them.
Terry-Thomas pays Liberace a visit (feat. Richard Wattis as the butler)
"What's the matter?"
"You're wearing my pajamas."
Davy Jones & Tennessee Ernie Ford | H.M.S. Pinafore | Peapicker in Picad...
Tennessee Ernie Ford and Davy Jones star in an extremely condensed, ten-minute version of HMS Pinafore for a 1969 TV special. Harry Secombe and Terry-Thomas guest star as Captain Corcoran and Dick Deadeye; their duet is the highlight of the piece!
Who is the scrungliest little guy? (round 3)
Fats Waller
Terry-Thomas
Fats Waller (Stormy Weather)—Submitting fats waller because i looove his little cameo spot in Stormy Weather (1943). He has the best facial expressions and he just seems like a silly fella!
Terry-Thomas (It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, Tom Thumb, The Green Man)—a cartoon of himself. A hissing gold toothed shorts-wearing cartoon who I love dearly and cheer for every time he turns up. He would never win any hotness competition but he’s MY weird little man!!!
This is round 3 of the contest. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. If you’re confused on what a scrungle is, or any of the rules of the contest, click here.
