In 2010 I conducted an investigation with @desicircus about how the #OfficialAsianMusicChart works. So I visited @bpi_music @brits in Westminster, London with Lawrence Target from #AsianMusicChartsDotCom to speak to the compilers of the chart data, I wanted to know if the charts were fixed. This film was made 2 years before @asianmusicpublishing @asianmusicdigital were set up. However the findings were critical elements in my decision to invest copious amounts of time and money into a global infrastructure that now collects royalties from over 120 countries. Back then, less than 2% of the Asian music community knew what music publishing was, in 6 years we have stimulated education to increase this to closer to 70% in Asia and diaspora.
