hq rare pair ask game: 3 and 4?
Send a number from 4 to 30 and I’ll have to put a rare ship together that adds up to that with their jersey numbers and make up some headcanons for them.
Moniwa (2) & Terushima (1)
there are a lot of instances of Terushima doing something rather silly or childish and then looking over at Moniwa with a cheesy apologetic grin
Moniwa was Terushima’s #1 support when it came to his third year and all the stuff about the future that was suddenly right in his lap and he was a little panicky about it all and not wanting to show it to most of his teammates cause he was supposed to be the cheerful kind of silly careless one of them all
it started from Terushima trying to dial Futakuchi’s number from memory when he was trying to set up a practice match and the moment the other end of the line picked up Terushima started with their customary “my life is a disaster here’s why btw how shitty is yours rn so we can laugh at each other’s misery” greeting. And Moniwa asked if he needed to talk and Terushima was so surprised he hung up.
(Moniwa asked Futakuchi about it and Futakuchi, the scheming brat, gladly told Moniwa about the pain in the ass that is Terushima Yuuji and encouraged Moniwa to talk to him)
Terushima loves trying to find ways that Moniwa will let him spoil him. There aren’t a lot, Moniwa likes being able to take care of himself and rarely needs/wants anything outside of the basics of life. But he does regularly allow Terushima to cook him meals. Terushima is a great cook and a rather patient teacher and he loves cooking with (or for) Moniwa
Sawamura (1) & Terushima (1) & Matsukawa (2)
muscles. muscles for days. muscles for days and when the three of them go jogging in shorts and tank tops there are more than a few stares
Terushima sometimes dislikes that he’s the youngest but it’s only a for a few moments here and there and then he usually cracks a joke about being with a couple of old men and then he’s fine again
Matsukawa is very drapey and clingy and Sawamura content a lot of time just let it happen. Terushima is bouncy and sometimes has trouble settling down which is usually when Sawamura takes the initiative and just drops himself into Terushima’s lap or flops heavily against his back until he settles down
they like to send each other pictures of random stuff all the time. the corner of a fan, a pile of marbles, leaves, animals they pass, someone’s shoes, a little kid’s hair clips, papers scattered on a floor. just whatever weird stuff they find that catches their attention
Matsukawa often gets final say on movie night because the other two get so into arguing that they forget he’s there and he just makes the decision and is 5 minutes into the movie before they realize what he’s done
