WIP Wednesday 8/12/2020

Yachi takes a shaky breath and quickly passes her hand over her eyes. She’s probably smeared her makeup, but that’s okay. It’s not like anyone would want her anyway. An upset huff leaves her and Yachi blinks to clear tears from her eyes, looks around the party for some sort of distraction. It’s then that she spots Kuroo leaning against the wall- looking bored as he sips on a drink and plays with his phone. Kuroo. Kuroo with his long, long legs and his hair that seems messier and messier each time she sees him. Kuroo with his sly grins and drawls, his teasing and his terrible laughter that gets her giggling. Kuroo. Bokuto’s best friend. He’d know how to get into Bokuto’s good graces. He’s so close to him, knows him so very well. She could learn so much from him. And he makes such handsome company besides. Yachi blinks and she stumbles up to standing, gets off of the stairs and starts to make her way to Kuroo on shaky legs. He doesn’t notice her at first and it makes something ache in Yachi’s chest, has her eyes stinging because, god, she really is so unnoticeable and how can she ever get the attention of a person that stands out so bright when she's something so transparent?

Yachi sniffles and that's when Kuroo looks at her. There are bags under his eyes and he looks tired, but he still looks handsome and all of a sudden Yachi just wants to lean against him, get wrapped up in his arms and sleep.

This WIP is an old BokuYachi that turned into KuroYachi and is now currently turning into a BoKuroYachi Because ot3 babey

Summary:

Prompt: Young

He looked between the group of boys and Bokuto, who was digging their heels into the ground as they wrestled with the bush, trying to yank a branch off. He was giggling, watching Bokuto more than the others after a while. He could hear the other boys from where he stood. The boss and the yellow one, named for their obvious love of the color yellow, they wore the color every day, cheered Bokuto on. The bug lover cackled and cheered for the bush. The one with pretty, wavy hair argued over the logic of fighting with a bush with the tall, serious one. He noticed the last boy of the group standing off to the side looking worried but also amused.

With one last grunt and tug Bokuto won, the stick snapping off the bush and sending him tumbling back onto his butt. He gasped, stepping forward in worry as the group nearby cheered. Well, all except the bug lover. They groaned and walked over to the bush, telling it how disappointed they were in its ability to survive.

Bokuto notices Yachi right away in the stands and wants to know more about her. Lucky for him, his newest teammate can arrange first contact.
