This is another small break drawing from my usual COTL stuff. Honestly with him I tested a LOT of stuff with my program, so I now know how to do certain effects and colored lines without pulling my hair out. :|

I’ve been tipped off to a really easy webm making thing today and thought I’d try it out.

That video is about 400kb, a comparable gif turned out to be 8mb at the same resolution.

So, GIFs have kinda been my thing for a long time but I end up cutting so much stuff from a lot of them, and cutting out bits around the edges and shrinking them to get them to fit under Tumblr’s 3MB size limit. And this first test on a webm absolutely destroyed it. I’m really thinking about switching things up here.

I’ve had concerns about tumblr’s video player before but I don’t know if that was just my computer being weird or if they actually fixed something but it seems to work just fine now for me.

Should I stick with GIFs or switch over to using webm? Are there people out there who have problems seeing that video?
