Announcement

April is the beginning of testing season and I will be part of preparing students for their test in the classroom. This means less time writing, posting, and interacting on here. 

That does not mean I am leaving permanently. It just means I will be on less.

In honor of getting a 21% on my last Chem exam and the approaching Finals season/Finals season, I’m here to tell you all that failing an exam doesn’t mean you’re worth any less, that you’re a failure, or that you should just give up.

You did your best.

Not everyone is good at exams and sometimes outside/inside forces make exams harder. Even if you’ve always been a wiz at the subject or school in general, failing an exam doesn’t mean you’re fake smart or not trying your best or anything of the sort. You’re doing your best and that is amazing.

If your exams are coming up, I believe in you. I believe you’re gonna be okay, just make sure to take care of yourself at least a little bit during this stressful time.

ap chem terms

hey yall

I’ve been meaning to make some ap chem flashcards the problem is my teacher never really gave us a list of terms or words we needed to know, and then from there graphs and whatnot if anyone has some examples they can show me or maybe a quizlet I could take a look at I’d be eternally grateful. If anything I might just end up using the terms in the glossary or something

Yesterday was so long and so stressful- testing season is upon us, we have 2 1/2 hour classes each block, and I had no planning period. So today I left school a little early since I didn’t have to proctor a test, did my grocery shopping, and am now giving myself a much needed break with some amazing watermelon and an iced coffee. It feels like summer, and I’m so ready.

my ass is trying so hard to hopefully get chapter 13 done before the end of spring break because testing season is right around the corner and i (as an educator) will be fucked so hard up the ass i can not even imagine writing soundly during that.

students if you're out there, please understand me when i say this, they are AWFUL to your teachers. soulless, mindless, money-hungry cock gobbling VULTURES who do not care about you or your teacher in the slightest. all they want is for you to go in there and perform like a good lil robot so that they can justify paying your teacher leftover ass-crumbs and pocket lint for their trouble. your teacher, who has bitten their tongue clean off more than once holding back the 'go fuck yourself', because they see you as more than a number, will be getting fucked over until the end of the year. (i get some teachers suck ass, had plenty to work with in my career, but on average, we give a shit about YOU not the grade.)

that being said, let me be clear, you do not have to suffer for these tests because we do. you do not need to hurt yourself or your mental health because i clearly like to fight with tiny men in suits every day for you. i choose a profession to bully incompetent men, you get to just be a kid. study for your tests, and try your best, but remember no one person is ever going to give a singular fuck what you make on a final once you're out of school.

that does not determine your worth as a human being. and as a teacher, I am getting sick and fucking tired of people condemning good kids because they can't answer your fucking Sphinx riddle about poorly written standards anyway.
