13: What kind of situations does your OC avoid the most?
Tey aggressively and pointedly avoids situations where she might have to talk about her personal involvement with the angels and their cults. She also tries to stay away from anything that might lead to her standing alone somewhere. Public speaking, disagreeing with the rest of the group, not doing something everyone else seems to be doing, etc., unless she can be excited/riled up until she doesn’t notice that she has no backup/is the only one talking.
tizmik has desert treasures in her bedroom, things like preserved bits of lizard shed, feathers, cool rocks, and little bones. she likes to sit in her coon and look at her treasures
teylir has angel wing hairpins
ilbodo has a leather cord necklace with a few of his lusus’ teeth on it, along with some small shells made into beads
algern has a very nice, if sheer, jade green shawl given to him by his favorite matron as a parting gift. he rarely dresses up enough to justify wearing it, though
demmel goes exactly nowhere without his trusty toolbelt
mageth knits/crochets most of her clothing and has more yarn in her hive than anyone else considers reasonable or sane
rehtuu is worried about acne and wears alternatives to greasepaint. he hopes that no one notices
lucind wears glasses to cover her mutant irises, and her favorite pair have holographic eyes on the lenses
delial’s prized possession is an avian encyclopedia. it helps them to feel closer to their dearly departed lusus :(
liamah loves stuffed animals
russel used to keep her (late?) moirail’s bomber jacket as a memento/comfort object. she claims that she threw it out an airlock when she decided she was never going to look back at who she’d been before
julius currently has no possessions, but when she does, shes going to hoard them in her sylladex and pockets as much as possible
shes lived most her life away from trolls never being hugged. she’ll either be skittish abt physical contact or very attached in a way that suggests she isn’t really into doing this but she feels she has to.
tizmik wants the shortest and most accurate route possible. sometimes this means cutting the bullshit. sometimes this means heaping more bullshit on because someone is Wrong and she doesnt think its irrelevant enough to disregard
she wants to believe in incredible things! she’ll still want to verify fantastic claims tho.
she does not get feelings that are purely one quadrant. when she does, its usually fleeting. when she does feel some kind of attraction to someone, she makes a conscious effort to smooth out her rough edges and be Useful to them, because she only likes to be around people who do something for her in return (even if thats something like “makes me smile.”)
when she focuses on a subject, she will not be deterred unless either forced to walk away or she gets what she wants
she doesnt care about everyone, but if something (or someONE) is hers, you dont get to fuck around with it. i call it her ‘circle of care.’
the emotions of other people are illogical. they should take her advice.
she has a questions she asks herself when it comes to risk taking. its very orderly. the list includes: could it cause harm to me? could it cause harm to my property? could it cause harm to someone who will then try to cause harm to myself or my property? can i take them one on one? can my lusus eat them?
she can just straight up stop (or nearly stop, or act like shes stopped) having empathy when it suits her.
shes hates being told what to do, and she hates being told how to think. directly confronting her is rarely a good way to change her mind.
TEYLIR
she goes with the crowd! or at least her crowd. she gets Nervous going against anyone.
she has to believe in something greater than herself. in one timeline i RPed, it was the empire and its ideals. in this one, its the angelic choirs. hopefully that devotion is going to turn to something less... inclined to use her body as a vessel.
tey is an extrovert! parties and great and bars are great, losing herself to music and dancing and booze (probably not anything smokeable? cos her boyfriends have Delicate Gills and they get Cranky when she tries to smoke)
tey is insecure abt making decisions. she can see options, but she second guesses and hesitates if she doesnt have directions to follow or guidance.
observation is not her strong suit! if it doesnt suit her, she will probably misinterpret based on what she already assumes is true (contrast to skippy, who is pretty damn observant will adhere to the nightvale motto: “if you see anything, say nothing, and drink to forget.”)
as teylir hasnt properly trained with her sword, she will always be at a disadvantage with someone who earned their mastery of the weapon. her muscles are not as developed, for one thing, and while her form is always perfect, she is at risk for injuring herself. for another, if she becomes distracted, she doesnt have muscle memory to fall back on.
her relationship with her body is shaky at best. indigos (like equius and horuss) are meant to be physically imposing, which she does not consider herself to be despite being 6′5 without horns and approaching 8′ with. shes willowy and delicate-looking, and stress over her body led to some issues with depression and the like in the past. shes totally beyond that now. 100% over it. she has no quarrels with her body whatsoever. definitely not. nope.
falls asleep on the couchilbodo!! when he falls asleep, its wherever he may be at the time. tey is usually pretty good about sleeping in her coon, the only time she sleeps on the couch is for naps with quads. seolfr strikes me as one to have a Specific Sleeping Spot and that is not like to be a couch.
makes friends with the neighborsteylir and seolfr, kind of. shes outgoing and genuinely likes people, seolfr wants to know the people hes surrounded by in case of emergency. ilbodo, however, is the most likely to approach them without 1) being abjectly terrifying or 2) having an ulterior motive.
is the adventurous eaterilbodo: how… is it?teylir: it’s interesting! it’s very, very interesting.seolfr: sweetheart, im not certain it’s food.teylir: everyone else was eating it, im sure it’s fine.
hogs the covers at nightyou try being the only landdweller in a bed with two seadwellers, one of which is glacial. if she doesnt hog the blankets she wakes up shivering with the pair of them glommed onto her.
forgets to do the dishesteylir has better things to do than the dishes! ilbodo doesnt forget, but he lacks spoons.
tries to surprise their partners more oftenilbodo! he likes to leave presents, or tidy up a lil. for the latter, it’s either thoughtfulness (teylir) or a passive aggressive insult (seolfr)
leaves dirty laundry on the floortey does and doesnt care, ilbodo does and feels shitty about it, seolfr does NOT because he keeps his living quarters in military order thank you very much
stays up til 2 AM reading….all three of them, constantly
sings in the showerseolfr, badly, exclusively in the shower. teylir only sings if she really likes the song playing or has something stuck in her head. ilbodo sings well, but only if people arent around and hes in a good mood.

plans date nightilbodo is really, really bad at planning right now, and teylir doesn’t ‘plan’ dates so much as she says ‘lets go over here and see what happens.’ therefore, the ever-anal seolfr is the date planner!
