I absolutely love this direct parallel. Thundercracker is always such an interesting character when he's portrayed like this - he's loyal to the Decepticon cause, but not interested in wanton destruction and death the way many other Decepticons are. He pities small weak things and finds no entertainment or honour in killing them unless he absolutely has to.

It's going to be fun seeing how his reluctance to kill for the crime of being small affects his relationships with some of the most brutal Decepticons we've seen.

So.. thoughts? Feelings? Theories as to who the hell the purple text voice in the sky is?

I mean my mind immediately went to unicron but that might be too obvious. I guess it could just be a quintessen judge but it feels too powerful for that considering it’s literally deconstructing the building. Devil Z maybe??? Though that might be too far fetched. Oh god please tell me it ain’t primacron.

This page confuses me. It says “now” but it seems like it’s skipping around in time. Is megatron just coming out of the trials? Did shockwave and soundwave go through the same trials or did they rescue him?

Or did we most likely just skip to a random point in time after the trials megatron went through and now find him on some random building in cybertron in the middle of the war. If that is the case I guess it’s not the first time starscream had his eye damaged.

My Decepticon symbol design.

Basically it's IDW2's Ascenticon arrow upside down but purple, and a few minor alterations. Still looks like the Decepticon symbol, but simpler (political symbols tend to be easy to draw).

Also, if energon darkens to purple when it dries, then purple would have pretty much the same connotations on Cybertron as red has on Earth, both politically and symbolically.

Turning the arrow down if it originally pointed up would propably also mean something.
