this is me i can’t see them adopting a baby ever but they do take in the “troubled” kids in foster care bc andrew was that kid too even tho he’s never called himself that but he knows other people did so he takes in these kids and he doesn’t act parental, per se, just makes sure they’ve got a full stomach and a peaceful quiet home and a good school to go to so that when they turn 18 and wanna leave they can but he doesn’t like kick them out it’s their choice and he just wants to equip them with things they’ll need to be okay on their own bc no one ever did that for him not really

without writing an essay, thea is just.. useless. i feel like she’s there to make a point that kevin is Heterosexual bc she serves no other purpose at all. she shows up in the books once and that’s to yell at kevin for smth that wasnt his fault - she’s mad that he didnt tell her the truth about his hand and riko. whats worse is, even tho she isnt a raven anymore, she still wears her raven necklace and still wholeheartedly supports the ravens. she knows they’re abusive but she still has that nest mentality she still feels a loyalty to the ravens - and that’s extremely unhealthy for kevin. he’s trying to break away from the ravens, he’s trying to start fresh and be independent and he’s trying to love himself. i cant imagine him making that progress if he’s with someone like thea who’s just going to keep bringing him back to the ravens

I’m gonna be unfollowing A BUNCH of tfc people over the next few days. So if we’re mutuals and I break it I’m sorry. If you have a non tfc blog I can follow instead let me know and I’ll check it out.

I’m not gonna be completely gone. I’m still here for the Trojans and Jean. I love them. They’re where I go when I need to not hate everything. So I’m gonna just keep to that. (Even more than I already do) But there will be next to no other TFC content on here after next week.

I’m tired. I’ve had a shit last two years at uni and I need this summer to be good for me and trying to put up with/ignore a lot of what I see of TFC fandom (going both ways) is not worth it anymore.

If we’ve talked abt Jerejean/etc. And you wanna keep that up I’m here y'all can still message me but I’m not interested in the mains (unless it’s a special case- LIKE REMINDING EVERYONE THAT NEIL IS DEMISEXUAL- *ehem* but that won’t be often)

This isn’t a complete cut-off of course ‘cause I’m still gonna follow my friends and talk to y'all abt the Trojans/make content for them.

But other than that I’m done. It’s been very nearly two years and it’s been a hell of a weird one ngl. But I’m out. This ain’t fun for me or worth the shite anymore. I don’t have the time or the energy to field all the crap I don’t like seeing and dealing with rude childish people whatever they my be standing for.

You're getting criticism about Aaron being a homophobe? That sucks, and it's very clear to everyone (especially gay/bi/pan fans) that he is. If any of these people really cared about internalized homophobia, Nicky is right there. Not everyone likes him too much, but he's been through a shit-ton and still gets a happy ending. Aaron's character can definitely be explored and redeemed, but not by using the 'sad repressed gay' angle. I'm sorry you're getting shit about this, you don't deserve it!

ahh nonnie thank u, ur too nice! but this has been a thing in the fandom for a long while so i’m used to it by now, but i agree. nicky was suicidal because of the way he (and his parents) viewed his sexuality but he grew and he learned to accept himself and thats internalized homophobia. aaron’s homophobia, nora admitted, is a defence mechanism he picked up in school. ppl dont understand that they can appreciate a character without erasing or justifying their shitty attitudes and actions
