so... what does rumble look like?
When Soundwave finally gets Rumble back, the minicons' put in one of Frenzy's spare frames while he remembers what it's like having limbs and a face again with a fresh layer of paint slapped on.
(it is slightly lazy on my part to just do a recolor i'll admit but i doubt the show itself would have done much different)
Rumble refuses to go on missions alone now, not that Frenzy or Lazerbeak minds accompanying him. If anyone else has a problem with it they can take it up with sound wave.
he's twitchier than he used to be and (while he'll never admit) is genuinely terrified of the Wrecker Snipers who used his spark as unlimited ammunition. (Soundwave is planning all sorts of nasty schemes for those two.)

(Also have a Pride Sale going on for all of June so check that out)
Soundwave-esque paint jobs. These would be used mostly in flashbacks
A fellow Transformers lover sent me TFP Rumble and a teeny Vehicon! I am in love, he is such a cute fella!
Soundwave is of course happy to see him... Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp though don't seem too happy!
TFP's designs reflect the writer's decisions regarding character direction very well.
It's not as though I don't like the designs on their own; on the contrary I actually love the less-action-figure-and-more-extraterrestrial art direction they took with the Transformers.
But a lot of the designs push certain aspects so far to the point where their barely recognizable from the characters they are supposed to be.
Somewhat Coherent Ramblings below on the 3 biggest "victims" with my (admittedly limited) transformers lore knowledge.
My designs for TFP Rumble and Frenzy. I wanted them to look a lot like Soundwave.

My gift for MemyselfandI_1 on AO3 for this year’s Secret Solenoid hosted by @secretsolenoid-revived, featuring the kind of mischief only the perfect Decepticon could pull off ;)
So I have a Mildly messed up TFP AU Idea that mostly revolves around Soundwave Angst.
So I thought up an AU where sadly yes, Rumble and Frenzy are dead BUT what Soundwave doesn’t know is that while they’ve been on Earth, Shockwave’s been experimenting on their corpses, rebuilding them, and shaping them into a new individual, they are built anew. Not as Rumble nor Frenzy, no she’s something else! She’s Enemy!
Of course when Shockwave does end up on Earth, Enemy following along. Soundwave notices but does react—not in the presence of Megatron— they kept it together until in their room….and just stand there not knowing how to feel or how act as they normally did aboard the nemesis when Enemy is here, when they can SEE who she used to be. It tears at them to see that Rumble and Frenzy just Gone.
finally found half decent full body references for Rumble and Frenzy in aligned.
Now to translate this into TFP style for Red Guys Don't Die.
