Other than ui, if hairu is that kakuja bunny then hsiao will have to fight her too (for saiko's sake) and hairu was also friends with the qs (though mostly saiko) so I'll be interesting to see how this affect everyone
Yeaaaaah the most likely candidates seem to be Hairu or Karren for that reason. I just don’t think Eto fits the psychological trauma the clowns seem to love inducing and Rize seems like a final boss.
Shuu’s there, and again focusing on Kaneki and being Kaneki’s sword, and it would be interesting for his character if Karren were to reappear and slice that apart.
Notice how it’s Ayato who gets to go, not any of the characters who are infatuated with the idea of Kaneki (Saiko, Mutsuki, Hinami, Shuu, I could go on and on). Like Urie, Ayato is not, and has confronted him in the past about his “half-assed” ways of making decisions. Urie is basically giving Kaneki the same message: don’t be a half-assed bastard. Saiko, your child, is depending on you to save her life. Ayato has provoked positive growth in Kaneki before, and probably will need to do so again. It’s another reason I think the chances of Ayato sacrificing himself for Kaneki are nil.
But back to Monster. It does genuinely resemble Eto, and the whole Eto implanting her kakuhou in Karren might be relevant to that.

But then again, there was a ton of focus on Ui this chapter, and some on Hsiao too for that matter. Ui is the one facing off with the monster, after all, though Shuu’s nearby, but Ui’s face is the one we see clearly identifiable. If Ayato and Kaneki really do find the Garden it makes sense for Hairu to be back by that point--though again, this being Hairu doesn’t necessarily have to be the case for her to come back.
Honestly Hairu and Karren are foils and so are Ui and Tsukiyama.
My point is, whoever this is (probably one of them and I leeeean towards Karren right now), the other is probably right around the corner.
