Ok but can u believe this???? ... that Uta fell in love with Yomo from the first sight & this is why he pretended he is equal in strength to him & faked his way through all their 4th ward fights when he could have easily killed him off?

That " the world loves but humans" meta really puts into perspective nobody is looking at the long term even if they beat the clowns ,v and deal with the garden situation the ghouls eat humans/humans hate ghouls problem is still there and the alliance has yet to come to a proper understanding and true alliance to make this happy end possible this last arc is gonna be long isn't it ?
Yes, @linkspooky writes great metas! And it’s a legitimate point--they need to consider the endgame. I mean after saving Touka’s life and helping her dig out Kaneki Urie was happy to slaughter a ghoul who was sobbing until Saiko pointed out that she had been a human before.
The issue is no one is empathizing or even trying to understand the other. They need to understand what it is like to walk in each other’s shoes.
Amon needs to understand that Mado was the exact same as Donato and he can’t idolize one and demonize the other and save Kaneki when he did the same thing too. They all committed horrors. He can of course draw boundaries but he can’t keep saying “well Donato was all bad and Mado all good just misled by the world;” he needs to acknowledge they all had agency and yet the world really did suck (it’s not black and white).
Yomo needs to understand the despair Uta is approaching this through, and Uta needs to learn how to feel alive (hope and empathy). Uta needs to learn to live with people.
Kaneki needs to understand that he is Furuta, and Furuta is him. Had they been born in opposite circumstances, Kaneki could well have turned out like Fruit-chan, but thankfully he didn’t. That’s why it’s not going to end with Kaneki savagely defeating Furuta but rather is more likely to end with understanding and compassion. Of course Furuta is responsible for his own choices, but if people are anticipating Kaneki savagely tearing Furuta apart they’ll be disappointed. Compassion is key, and understanding. Empathy.
And yeah lol. I think this arc is gonna be quite long. We know the clowns were stalling for something that’s got to be bigger and even more thematically resonant than the fights happening now, but we don’t know what it is for sure (*cough* zombies *cough). We have these three fights that need to have proper thematic resonance + the zombie beast that needs explaining + Ayato + Saiko & ROS. It really does look like we’re heading for 204-6 chapters but we shall see.
I had hoped that the friendship that Renji had with Uta and Itori would help them not fall into this situation. I hoped that their friendship would speak through to the tired and beaten souls of the clowns. That they would have some hope for better days. They might have been fucked up all their lives that they fell into despair, lost all hope and just wanted to see the world burn because it paid them no concern before. However, don’t destroy the hope for others who have also had the world fuck them over but still have hope and care for not just their well-being but others too.
It is sad that Renji has to fight his friends and even sadder that they, the clowns, might be too broken to see that there could be better things to fight for rather than destroying all that is around. I hope that they come to an understanding before anyone is fatally injured.
Argh, what am I even saying. Just thoughts on the chapter.
Oh well, I’ve just got to wait to see what Ishida-sensei had planned out for the clowns.
Also, Yomo better hang in there and live, at least for your niece and nephew.
