I want to know how would Jimven make toy and rott better?

OKAY SO I was thinking about this, and it boils down to two things: more manpower and diversity of talents for the good guys, and Steven's healing spit.

No, really.

This is how it goes:

How Jimven Makes ToA Better AU/crossover

Trollhunters, s3

Steven's on his road trip that started at the end of Future. He's made his way to California, and he decides to stop in the town of Arcadia Oaks. It's early TH s3.

He decides to stay for a while because it just feels... odd. Maybe there's an uncaptured corrupted Gem there?? He doesn't know, but it's Something.

(It's all the magical beings and rocks in Arcadia.)

So he's out one night, and who pops up? A rogue Gumm-Gumm chased by the Trollhunters

Steven, being Steven, helps incapacitate the Gumm-Gumm with his shield and other abilities, and Jim takes it down

And thus, they meet. It's an instant crush for both parties.

(Yeah, so no Jlaire or Connverse. Sorry.)

So Steven introduces himself to the Trollhunters, and vice-versa.

Steven's actually heard of Trolls- the Crystal Gems have worked with them in the past, and Steven's seen a couple

So the problem gets introduced: Gunmar wants to take over the world

That can't happen! Steven's saved the world himself too many times to let it happen again!!

So the other CGs are called in (let's say there's a warp pad in Arcadia)

So Steven starts to work with the Trollhunters, and develops a massive fucking crush on Jim in the meantime.

It's totally reciprocated

Everyone starts to get real tired of the pining

Eventually, our heroes need to go wake up Merlin. Fortunately, since Steven has Gem magic, he's not affected by Merlin's "no magic" rule in his tomb.

What I'm saying is that Draal is saved a la Steven's shield

So our first change is that Draal's not dead!

Merlin has met the CGs in the past. The CGs do not like him.

And for that matter, I don't think Pearl and Blinky would get along. They have an intense rivalry and everybody tries to keep them separated.

But, anyway, we get to Jimhunters. Jim still gets turned into a half-Troll because I love Troll Jim and I'm not giving him up.

The rooftop scene on the school still happens, but this time, it's Steven confessing he has a crush on Jim

After Jim calms down, he says he's got a crush on Steven, too

It's cute, but-

Morgana is released and the Eternal Night happens.

And so they battle. Jim still kills Gunmar and Angor stills turns on Morgana, but this time, Peridot manages to hold Morgana still with her ferrokinesis so Jim can stab her. So no dead Angor! Yay!

So the good guys win, with Trolls and Gems fighting together. And since the Gems are there, Peridot and Bismuth figure they can use Gem tech to get the Heartstone working again. The Trolls don't have to move, and Steven and Jim start dating. (And Jim gets the armor to deactivate.)

Merlin still senses a Heartstone in New Jersey, so a team of Trolls gets dispatched to retrieve a part of it to help the Heartstone get back to full power. The team is Jim, Steven, Blinky, Merlin, Draal, and some other Trolls. The Gems in Beach City are close enough so they can help out, too.

Claire stays behind and meets Douxie, who starts training her as a sorceress.

Turns out that Douxie has met the CGs, too, and gets along fabulously with them.

So Aja and Krel's arc starts. They've seen the Gems going around, so they figure it's a good idea to reveal themselves to them. They also actually know Steven and the CGs because of the whole space royalty thing (and since Steven's a Diamond, he's space, royalty, too)

So they secure the Gems' help in retaking Akiridion V- the Diamonds are all too happy to help

So 3B, as a whole, goes quicker

Eventually, Morando still gets his hands on Gaylen's Core, but Aja and Krel's parents don't have to sacrifice themselves- a lot of the fighting is done by the Gems, specifically the Alexandrite fusion, because she's big enough

So Morando is defeated, and Aja doesn't have to become a teenage queen! She can stay on Earth with Krel!

But then Camelot shows up, with the Jersey mission crew

And so starts Wizards.

Wizards

Jim, unfortunately, was still hit by the Green Knight's shard, and is in a crystal for his own safety.

Steven wanted to pull it out so he could heal him, but Merlin insisted that it wasn't a good idea, what with the magic being so new and volatile.

Steven's not happy.

So, anyway. The Arcane Order still confronts the Trollhunters (and Gems), and Douxie, Claire, Jim, and Steve still fall into the time rift. However, Steven fell in, too, so he's back in time, as well.

I sort of want a plot point where Steven meets Rose, but I don't really want to go into the whole intricate specifics right now

But, anyway, it goes a lot like canon, except Steven helps the Trolls escape Camelot and goes with Jim and Deya/Callista, and Claire has a better grasp on her magic.

So Jim, Steven, and Deya get to Dwoza, and Jim gets knocked out and brought to Vendel.

Vendel wants to remove the shard, which is a very good idea. Steven is all for it.

So Vendel gets the shard out, but Arthur's corrupted magic is agitated, and starts to spread fast.

Steven's healing spit isn't strong enough- he has to resort to his resurrection tears, which, thankfully, do work. Jim's healed! He can't be controlled by the Arcane Order anymore.

Steven also uses his tears to fix the Amulet, so no new Amulet is necessary, anymore.

So Killahead still happens and our heroes go home and fight the Arcane Order, yada yada yada. Douxie, Archie, and Nari still go into hiding and Jim is still his half-Troll self.

This is where things go better. One of the biggest things is that Jim isn't questioning his place as Trollhunter, because that was a stupid plot point.

Maybe Steve gets Excalibur? Hell of a lot better character arc than what he got and Jim still has his Amulet

But the major points are as follows:

Strickler doesn't die. Instead, Amethyst shapeshifts into her helicopter shape so Jim can drop the explosives on Skrael's titan. Like canon, it doesn't work, but Strickler doesn't die

With Douxie, Nomura, and AAARRRGGHH!!! is Pearl. Krel and Peridot have figured out tech so Trolls don't turn to stone in the sun, so that's no longer an issue, so Nomura doesn't die.

Instead, Pearl gets poofed by the mind-controlled Nari.

Since everything is going to be okay in the end, there's no need for the Chronosphere. Thus, Archie and Charlie don't get trapped in the Tokyo market.

When Nari fights Skrael in their titans, she's not alone. Since Pearl is poofed, the CGs can't form Alexandrite or Obsidian, but Steven, Amethyst, and Garnet fuse. They help Nari take down Skrael.

Nari, thus, doesn't die. She is injured, though, but not fatally.

Pearl reforms just in time to take down Bellroc and their titan.

Okay, but I just want to see Obsidian fighting Bellroc's titan

Jim still fights Bellroc, and Toby still sacrifices himself to use the magic-nulling cannon.

Here's where it all gets better: Toby is found in the rubble, but Garnet, Bismuth, and AAARRRGGHH!!! get the rocks off of his legs. Jim is near-unconsolable, but Steven gets there just in time to use his healing spit on Toby, who is then totally fine. Mentally scarred and in need of therapy, but physically fine.

Jim is so relieved.

Thus, no need for time travel! Everyone is fine and not dead!

And so begins the rebuilding of Arcadia. Everyone, from humans to Trolls to extraterrestrials, help out. Trollmarket's fine, so the Trolls can still live there.

Jim and Steven continue dating, and everyone lives happily ever after!
