A-Z meme: D and I for both! - (the-iron-orchid)
D. Dance: How does your character dance? Are they good at it, or bad at it? Do they dance confidently, even if they’re bad at it, or do they get embarrassed?
Aleis's only training is travel; they spent their youth and childhood frequently on the road, and learnt a lot through observation. They have very good rhythm and they learn fast. Due to their extensive martial arts training, for both competition and defense, the way they move on their own tends to be precise, energetic, and in rhythmic arcing motions that take advantage of momentum. Idk enough dance terms to know how to describe it, far less put it in a category lol
Turel also has an excellent sense of rhythm. He also has a downright eerie skill for isolating motion to a very precise area. Because Turel is just...like that, the way he moves is understated and beautifully balanced, and he is so seldom showy that, when he is, it leaves a hell of an impression. His travels, and the time spent on them, far exceed Aleis's, and unlike Aleis, he is good at being taught; he's learnt more through observation, as well as having some actual training. Combined with his natural poise, this means that he's your guy if you want a giant to whisk you away into an intricate group dance at a crowded festival without stepping on *one single person,* unless you count you standing on his feet if you need to.
I. Impression: What do other characters first think of your character, based on their body language and way of speaking? Is this first impression usually accurate?
That really depends on how observant the other person is! Aleis usually comes across some combination of engaged, inquisitive, and fearless, where people's first impression of Turel is that he's eight fucking feet tall, and where the fuck did he COME from holy FUCK I didn't know they MADE people that size!!!
