Can you tell us more about your OCs? I love hearing about people's OCs!!!

Oh God... I've had this in here for a while and I've been scared to answer it because idk I'm scared to talk about ocs but I'll talk about a few.

Ari (she/they): Basically my main oc, she's a Animaniacs fan character from a story I'm writing that's basically a self insert and doesn't hide that fact while being enough of her own character that I can have plausible deniability. Ari is anxious and awkward, a bit of a dumbass, and accident prone. She's anthropomorphic husky who works as a security guard at Warner Brothers Studios after she moved to California to pursue a music career and that...did not work out. Her job is basically babysitting the Warners to make sure they don't destroy everything or each other. She hates them at first but grows to love them so deeply she ends up adopting them.

Nemel (Any Pronouns): Another OC from the same story. To make it short. Nemel is an angel who got kicked out of heaven for being an asshole and is forced to be Ari's guardian angel in order to get back in Gods good graces. Nemel also looks a lot like Nermal from Garfield if he was way taller and hot. Hence the name. There's a lot more going on like how they're the Angel Of Death in training which basically means they are The Grim Reaper's apprentice but that's a lot to go into.

I have a lot of ocs but that's all I'm comfortable talking about rn!

To no one's surprise nowdays, it's Hook...

Which... So I started in this fandom in 2016 through to 2017 before taking a hiatus until last year around April. My first introduction to combiners was on accident by researching Breakdown (from TFP) but not knowing there was a distinction between him and the Breakdown's article I clicked (G1). This led to me learning about the Stunticons and wanting to see clips of them.

Cue me looking up "Menasor" on YouTube, and being recommended this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQCs_xkxJkg&ab_channel=SeanC and... well. It was all over.

The Constructicons were a passive affection for me, but even then I loved Hook and Scrapper a lot. But then last year, around September, I started chatting about Hook in the matter of an AU with one of my friends and.... Well. Very very quickly I became obsessed with him.

I love his ego, and how, unlike Starscream or most other egotistical characters, he has a reason for it. Hook is genuinely exceptionally intelligent, exceptionally skilled, and his bragging comes from a place that isn't insecurity or him wanting to make others thing he's something he's not.

He's not vain, unlike Sunstreaker, but he does care for how others perceive him.

I adore his perfectionism, how much you know he will NEVER allow himself to be wrong or make a mistake. It gives you a lot to explore on why he's a perfectionist and how much he might take being a perfectionist too seriously. His bio mentions how pain staking he is with his repair work, and I love that. I love the dedication he has to his work, and that he's the Decepticon Chief Medical Officer in G1? I love a man who goes beyond his build and is amazing at his job. Even if he's a grump and struggles with good bedside manner, you know you will be feeling better than before your injury when you go to him. Of course, then a huge part of my love for him is a tiny, insignificant seeming little line from his bio... that the only person he respects is Scrapper.

Modest, humble Scrapper and Hook, the Con with one of the biggest egos ever, respects him?

There's so much to unpack there alone...

Also he's got a handsome ruggedness to him. Love the angularness he can be drawn with, and his kibble is perfection.

I've always enjoyed untraditional medic characters, and Hook is as non traditional as you can get when you compare to the other G1 medics introduced. There's ambulances and a tow truck, but a crane?

Especially imagining how he became a medic?

He just tickles all the right spots in my brain...

I also love how he has constant resting bitch face. He's always grumpy and irritated and in a bad mood, and tired of everyone's shit.

Love me a grumpy old crane who, if he went on vacation, the entire faction would fall apart lol

a not very good recap of what is written in there:

ryunosuke basically a local villain B)

he is pretty eccentric, true theater kid, has a very specific way he presents himself (elegant, mysterius, lowkey evil) loves to add drama to any conversation, loves messing with people (a lot)

extremely confident, even if some people may think he is doing too much he legit does not care (that helps with fanservice btw, his stans are feral)

while he has his little calmer moments, those are reserved to the times when he is way too tired and hangs out with the people who are very close to him

anyways, the way he acts started as kind of coping mechanism (see: his background)/a persona he put on, now it is pretty much what he is

he is genuinely this overly dramatic person, born to be a leader and to be on stage !!

real ice king skjhjkhsjfk the coolest guy around with a lot of charisma !! rahhh

and while he is very creative (with the way he talks, acts and how he deals with all grimm parade music/content), self-assured, decisive, but also caring and considerate-

i would say his worst trait is his hatred for expressing any weakness, like he refuses to bring up his lowest moments. and when he feels unwell he is the type to just force himself to continue working

which connects to his condition (atherosclerosis) while he for sure exercises and eats well it doesn't exactly remove the pain/tiredness that comes with it, and he just- works through it 90% of the time the cane should be used properly to help him walk when he is really not doing well, but even then he will act like he doesn't need it

so he is a silly stubborn guy who refuses to accept his own weaknesses... but do not fret he has great people around him who help him with that

he is a vocaloid stan, who enjoys singing songs about some crazy romance drama and/or muder (lmao), he is lowkey a cosplayer, can argue with managers easily, will kill you on sight if you disrespect rokuro or shouhei, hates going out if he doesn't put makeup on and doesn't wear some sick outfit (catching him in actually casual clothes is a rare event), he is crazy popular, plays into fanservice... like he totally has stepped on people because they asked, he wants to be treated like a scary villain, be called ryunosuke-sama, but in reality despite the way he acts he is really sweet and caring hmm ... i think this is about it !

but !!! one of the mcs is Pony !! (her real name is Peony but she went by Pony when she was little and the name just Stuck) she’s staying with Winter, who is her like,,,,magic teacher ??? she’s not quite his apprentice but. it’s chill. she’s learning abt magic from him and it’s fun !! he’s very supportive of her !!

but !! it starts with Pony getting a dream and she’s told that she needs to go somewhere (perhaps the desert ??) so she starts on her adventure, Winter going with her for the first tiny leg until she reaches the edge of the forest !! 

and there’s another character who is going to be more,,,,knight-ish ? maybe ?? not sure yet. i’m still working on it. i have very little plot and almost no idea abt the characters. but i am VERY excited

hello friend!!! the 100 (ew) for ask game?

the first character i first fell in love with: 

this may come as a shock but... john murphy. who could have seen that coming? i don’t know he just burrowed under my skin like a parasite. i hate him but i love him (only i can make fun of him it is not funny when anyone else does)... truly my beloved. he is so human and relatable and troubled and yet still so kind and good. he is my forever favourite... we don’t speak of his ending. season 6-7 who???? justice for my bastard man. i love you so much. <3

the character i never expected to love as much as i do now:

i’ve always loved raven — but, i am a bit surprised just how much that love grew. she is just the best and most complex girl. i loved watching her grow even if the writers did her so dirty in book two (in that her storyline was a prop to others, not in that i didn’t like her anymore). raven is MY female lead.

the character everyone else loves that i don’t:

... i have never really understood emori. i just have no connection and i am not sure what i am meant to see in her. most of it is writing’s fault, but i just felt like she was inconsistent and a bit shallow — which does make sense if she was never a “main”. i think much of the remaining fandom loves emori so that’s why i’m considering this a bit unpopular.

the character i love that everyone else hates: 

i will never understand the echo hate. she is not a top favourite, but she is just very cool and pretty and kind and badass. where the aforementioned character lacks in backstory and purpose — echo always had that on lock. not to be controversial... but any issues i have with becho don’t lie with her. her being an antagonist was justified — then echo grew and found family and it was really beautiful!!

the character i used to love but don’t any longer:

am i allowed to say clarke and / or bellamy? i love them both, but with how... weird the writing got i started loving their potential more than them... if that makes any sense. i think all characters really had a downward spiral in book two but man... did the two leads just get the short end of the sticks. i just found myself more and more frustrated with their writing and their actions in the later seasons.

the character i would totally smooch: 

murphy!! raven!! jasper!! gabriel!! luna!! josephine!!

the character i’d want to be like: 

this is hard... maybe monty or luna? peace driven icons... who also had backbones. monty could be so snarky yet also so kind — luna was so wise but also realistic. the show was wasted on characters like them, to be honest. justice for peacekeepers.

the character i’d slap: 

abby griffin. hands down my least favourite. dear lord did she make me so angry. it would also be payback for her slapping both raven and murphy.

a pairing that i love:

murven murven murven murven murven murven. i love them SO much. the way they balance each other and take turns with the morality stick. the way they grew past mistakes and just have such a pure love for one another. they do not judge each other; they understand one another so damn well. the strongest dynamic on the show — would have simply been too powerful. endgame in my heart!!!

a pairing that i despise: 

m*mori. somehow simultaneously boring yet also makes me feel uncomfortable. especially after the series finale, they just make me feel so sad/sick. i used to tolerate them, but now i can’t even read a fanfic with them as a side pairing. they are an ick. murphy, i’m going to get you out of there post s7. no hard feelings to any shippers, i just can’t do it.
