Day 11 of Thankfulness I know it is a couple of days late, but I was not online for it. However, I couldn’t go without supporting our Veterans. Many who’ve sacrificed so much for so little in return. A documentary I did a few years back highlighted one such man. My mentor in the video editing world, Frank allowed me to film his extraordinary story that not only put me in as finalist for a festival award, but gave me a new found respect for those like him. Day 9 of Thankfulness My ninth entry for thankfulness is the love of the theatre. Both on Broadway and the big screen. Watching performers become other people and bring you into a whole other world. Be it for 2 hours or 4, you escape reality and step into someone else’s story. For the best performers... They trick you into thinking it is reality. Day 8 of Thankfulness For my eighth day of Thankfulness, I’ve chosen my gift of creativity. Admittedly I probably haven’t used it to it’s full potential, but it is something I am proud of. With it I have written many stories, including a self-published book. Written and recorded numerous songs and filmed many videos. It has helped see the world for what it is and what it could be. Phone was out of order, sorta speak, the past few days, so a little behind on my posting on here. Was all good... Gave me a chance to get a few other things in order. Anyways... Mainly the wilderness and open spaces that still remains in this ever growing civilization that man has built. Day 6 of Thankfulness I have no actual picture for what I’m thankful for on the sixth day of the challenge, but the tattoo in the picture is tied into it. I’m actually going to reveal a truly personal part of my life for this one. I think I’ve ever only told 2 people about it, but there was a time in my life I had all but given up. After a break up with a woman whom I saw my future with, I just didn’t truly care about anything anymore. Life was continuing & I was just there, no matter how much I acted as I cared. I ended up getting to know a few people and began to be myself again, not only outward, but inner. Two of them are mentioned in my song “Final Good-bye”. “The Kid” showed me that life is about living in the moment and forgetting all the rest. And Ariel showed me love can return to a walled up heart. It was her idea for the tattoo, for she always referred to me as a “Silent Warrior”. We eventually split, but because of her, I never put that wall back up.
