you've said belost's mom quit the military to raise him full time. do you think the galra would normally allow that?

I did say that! Belost’s mom used to be a chef for the officers’ club onboard his father’s ship (it’s how they met). But once Belost was born she requested a discharge to become a stay at home mom. I would imagine it is common enough for parents to do so if they are both in the military. But I’m sure there is a review board or something to evaluate if one should be allowed to leave or not. I doubt they would allow a high profile person to simply quit.

Having said that, I also think the military wouldn’t deny a request like that very often. Somebody has to watch over their children and it is probably much more likely that the biological parents are going to be the best option. Not to mention that I’m sure it is seen as a very honorable pursuit to raise the next generation of galra.

i should not have been knitting last night. i made SO MANY MISTAKES! i've spent twice as long as i ought to on this row fixing them, and i'm still forgetting to do YOs so i have to spend the next riow fixing this one! (havent been able to sleep for shit with this cold and the sleeplessness is very much making itself a problem)

my paint arrived! i think the drippy spouts i use on the squeeze bottles will fit on there (i will know for sure after work when i go digging around for a clean one to test it out) i may or may not make use of this feature.

finally found a matched set of boxes that will hold up to the weight and vibration (the air from the airbrush makes the lace wobble, especially on the openwork parts) from the frame to raise it up another 6" - just in time to get sick enough that i don't want to paint. siiiiiiiiigh

i think it'll be smutty romance novels and BG3 tonight until/unless i finally manage to pass out.
