Oh! Maureen! (Get Back)

Reading @m1ssunderstanding's Get Back rooftop concert post's Maureen love made me think of an adorable little Ringo moment in the Nagras. Jan 14th at Twickenham — right before the boys go play on the chains — they're doing their normal morning Stoners Circle while the sets for Magic Christian come in and pretending they're going to film a movie about drug dealers. And when Michael Lindsay-Hogg who doesn't partake but is unshakable says, “We needed one girl,” Ringo instantly responds, “Oh! Maureen!”

Alright I'm going to try the three sentences thing first... Musa hated everything about her first ball - the stiff bones of her corset, the uncomfortable pinch of the dainty shoes against her toes, the weak lemonade she wanted to toss into the closest potted palm, and the way her face seemed to freeze into the ever-present polite smile her mother had made her practice in the mirror. And then Lord Riven made his entrance, striding down the elegant staircase into the ballroom like he was just as bored as she was, his eyes raking over the crowd dismissively. Halfway down, his disreputable gaze met hers, and Musa instantly decided that perhaps there was one thing she might like about her first ball after all.

Maureen is probably my favorite wife she seemed like a joy to be around when she started jamming to One After 909 in Get Back I was like same girl!

She was an absolute sweetheart!!! She loved the band so dearly, it was so sweet to see footage of her just watching them, grooving along and smiling from ear to ear :(
