I’m still somewhat upsetti about the show ending but I’m glad we got a good ending. So I decided to do a Gemsona-HQ monthly drawing prompt and it kinda got away from me...heh. This is based on the prompt, Back to the Beginning!

I still love my gemsona okay? Char’s special to me. And the various gems and gemsonas everyone’s made over the years is really my favorite thing to come out of this fandom. I mean, other than Steven himself of course. Because he’s a good good boy.

i kinda just drew this for fun because also i could barely see the screen by this point through all my tears that day.

that’s only a half exaggeration.

i still start sobbing at this point because idk, there’s also the moment when steven runs out of his car and hugs the gems and shouts ‘you guys!’ and it reminded me of a very specific moment in my favorite anime where it really hits all of them that they were going to graduate and one of them just shouts ‘YOU GUYS!’ grossly sobbing and then they have this group hug and like that moment has stuck with me since high school.
