For me, the funniest part about getting into the Cherik/X-Men fandom in 2026 is being able to understand some of the German parts in the movies and fics.

Listen, if Duolingo is only going to teach me that “my aunt has a very smart owl and my brother loves my roommate”, I guess X-men fan fiction (more specifically a certain dude with an affection for metal and a certain telepath) will teach me all the fun and practical words in German ;)
