I love how Manuela describes the thought of the Dark Star's creation, because it pretty much describes how things work with the Fears all the time! It's never about science, physics or even logic, it is all about what feels could work! Desolation avatars can conjure fire because that is the thing most people associate with loss, Eye avatars can spy through drawings of eyes because they are eyes, after all, therefore their domain!

All this to say that I love TMA's magic system and its concept of "dream logic".

Also Manuela sounds so smug I'd like to make her swallow a tape recorder :)

I absolutely love that quote and I absolutely love that Manuela, a genius scientist, managed to come to this conclusion and utilize her knowledge of to its fullest, she literally got it down to a science

I really like early Extinction statements, mostly because you can see how it emerged from a lot of other Fears combined (in this case, the End, the Spiral and the Lonely, but also the Desolation, the Stranger and the Corruption in other statements).

Also I am so normal about Adelard Dekker. Soooo normal about him.

Absolutely love Creature Feature (and also The Puppeteer later on), the link Johnny made between the Web and cinematography really appeals to me in a way.

also I used to think that the creature at the end was Dexter himself, but apparently it's something else entirely?

Jonny really liked the "unraveled tape looks like webbing" aesthetic

i love 130 SO MUCH.

much like with 116 The Show Must Go On, I adore the way it's written, the statement giver themselves, a lot of other things, yet I can't really pin down what is the aspect that attracts me the most.

Also, I like how this episode explores the connection between the Flesh and religious imagery (the church itself, Tom Haan and his parallels with early christians, ...) and how Gertrude plans to counter other rituals

It's so viceral but still keeps that religious atmosphere to it
