Thayet: So you don’t think I can fight bandits because I’m a woman?
Jon: No, I don’t think you can fight bandits because right now you’re in a wedding dress. For what it’s worth, I don’t think Raoul could fight in that dress either.
Raoul: Maybe not, but I would make a radiant bride.
Thayet the Peerless. Very ballsey of Tammy to be like “the queen is incredibly hot, a total badass, and also very cool and likable” and we all just agreed
Thayet & Jon's wedding rehearsal
Thayet: Does anybody here object to this marriage?
Alanna: Yes, it is a terrible idea!
Buri: Of course we do!
Gary: How could we not?
Thayet: Overruled. Jon?
Jon: Mhm?
Thayet: Do you want me to be your wife?
Jon: Yeah.
Thayet: I want you to be my husband.
Jon: Tight!
Tortall characters that could step on me: a list by a lonely lesbian with an obsession with warrior women
1. Keladry
i have a thing for tall women and while I know Kel wouldn’t step on me (shes too kind), I would let her
2. Aly
fit, sassy, magical, intelligent? This girl had it all. She could strangle me and I’d thank her.
3. Thayet
do I need a reason? She’s hot as fuck
4. Beka
strong and sexy.
5. Alanna
she’s so far down on the list cause she’s short. Sorry babe
6. Daine
too innocent but I do love her
7. Everyone else
"The queen said if Raoul was going to squall like an infant cheated of a sweet he could go to his room."
-Cleon of Kennan, Squire by Tamora Pierce
A Royal’s Poem
In the monstrous quiet of the deadened street
The bones of the earth
Stir beneath my feet.
Sometimes they wake,
Sometimes they sleep,
In the monstrous silence of the deadened street.
People turn and do not greet
In the raging silence
Of the deadened street.
I hasten by, on sneaker feet,In the unearthly quiet of this deadened street.
The lights linger on,
But few are home.
They left for safer parts unknown.
Except it followed them
On tiny feet..
..as they fled the quiet
Of the deadened street.
