Hiya! I just wanted to hop on quick and talk about The Astral / the bar AU series. I've been getting some asks and comments about whether it's still being worked on, and is it! Sort of.

It's been pushed to the side lines for multiple reasons (I've received a lot of requests on this blog, and, outside of writing, I'm currently at university and am arranging housing for next year), but the main issue I have with writing for it has been with the initial plotline. The outline was basically a bunch of one-shots tied together by the same characters, with no overarching story to it - even though it's a romance, I like to have something else happening to stabilise the story, as I've done in things like Wheeling and Dealing. So, before I work on writing new chapters, I have to restructure the plot and check what I've already told you guys/foreshadowed in chapters.

(It's a weird feeling when you realise that your original format would make more sense as a visual novel dating sim than a written fanfiction, but what are you gonna do--)

So, yeah! Thanks for sticking around, and I hope I'll be able to get back on track soon!

Fae Courts - Quick Facts & Basics

The High Courts

The Seelie and Unseelie High Courts are the two most famous Fae courts

They are not the only Fae powers, just the largest and most united groups

There are many courts under both the Seelie and Unseelie kings

The High Courts are simply the wider ruling bodies while the smaller courts have rulers of their own

The High Courts do NOT include all Fae

The High Courts are NOT the only two Fae courts

Solitary Fae

Solitary Fae are not loyal to either the Seelie or Unseelie court

They can either be with a solitary court or remain entirely courtless

Solitary courts can be very powerful conquering forces

They can also be peaceful and more removed

There are strong allegiances and bitter rivalries between solitary courts

Solitary courts are much more likely to have a diverse population of both Seelie and Unseelie (as a race, not an allegiance) Fae, as well as other spirits and hybrids

Fae that are closer to the human world are more likely to be solitary than with a High Court

The cultures are all very different from one another, especially among the solitary Fae. Not all courts are equally dangerous to humans, not all courts are created equal in power or prestige, but all should be given the respect they deserve.

Kale had been out taking his dog out for a final bathroom break before heading to bed when he saw it. A ball of light flashed brightly in the sky followed by a crashing sound only seconds later. It hadn't hit too far from his grandmother's house he was looking after for the weeks coming. He had taken the dog back inside and grabbed a hoodie from the coat rack. It wasn't strange for him to take late night walks when he was visiting. He headed toward where he was sure he'd find the meteor thinking it'd make a pretty cool decoration for his coffee table. As he walked toward it he couldn't help but notice how quiet the night had gotten. There wasn't even the usual crickets or frogs chirping. That was when he heard it. A guttural cry of something nearby, he wasn't sure if it was an animal at first but by the end of the sound, he was sure it was a man. He hurried his pace regretting having left his cell phone on the counter by the door. Hoping he wasn't going to find someone seriously injured or even dead.

Honestly, I really love the dream world

It´s a bit chaotic at times, okay, at a lot of times but when it collides with the Astral / Astral travelling it´s really fun. Like yesterday when I got to this place in the dream world where I had already been a few times before and I was just like, ah I´m here again, nice.
