Bee Story
In discussing this episode, everyone's brains go to either the Waggle Dance, or
you want some, honey?
But, there's another element that I just noticed:
Candace wasn't kidding when she said
There is something about watching this guy go through Deltarune (and Undertale before it), pretty much back to back, and see what that experience is like without the years of thinking about it between the chapters.
For example, he's come close to realising that he isn't actually Kris, and that Kris is their own person he is possessing a few times, but it hasn't quite clicked yet, despite him being a generally thoughtful and observant player who has had some pretty interesting takes on the games so far.
Obviously, chapter 4 makes that division between Kris and the player undeniably explicit, and I can't wait to see how he responds to that, but I never really considered it as something that had to be made explicit by chapter 4. We've been talking about the conflict between Kris and the player pretty much since we picked apart that final scene in chapter 1!
I also think that realisation might help him recontextualise Frisk sharing their name at the end of the pacifist route, and start asking some questions about Chara to start with.
phineas as the beak lying unconscious in the streets of danville and only waking up and coming back to life when he hears isabella calling "where's phineas? he'd know what to do. phineas, phineas, where are you?" is my roman empire
The ending to "The Beak" always confused me, like after Linda says they should all go home for some snacks, the entire town celebrates and walks with the other characters.
So did the entire town just... went to the Flynn-Fletcher residence for snacks? I'm so confused.
oh how absolute wrong you are Mr Ferb ✋😔
Phineas is like, have I ever let you down.
And Isabella is like, yes, four times today alone.
Buddy, you have to tell her you're the superhero. You have to.
