Gorki Gagarin are a Basel, Switzerland band that have an indie take on the sophisti-pop sound. It appears to have been self-released, and it's hard to find any online presence since 2019, so I'm assuming the band is in a dormant phase.

To me this reminds me of an amazing cross between Geoffrey O'Connor (The Crayon Fields) and The Ocean Party/Pop Filter (especially the songs and sounds of the late/great Zac Denton).

Más conocido por ser miembro de la banda australiana The Crayon Fields, Geoffrey O'Connor tiene en su haber varios discos en solitario bastantes lindos. El muchacho es un guitarrista y productor australiano de indie pop radicado en Melbourne. Etiquetado como música Adult Contemporary lanzó en Febrero de 2025 un discaso hermoso llamado "I Love What We Do", que conocí gracias a Radio Horizonte, que con su estilo tan refinado de siempre, puso como destacado de la semana la canción: "Let's Make Love Feel Good Again".

I can assuredly state that this is one of Micah and my favorite releases over the past decade.  The Crayon Fields “All the Pleasures of the World” is a near perfect release of music influenced by Belle and Sebastian, Jazzateers, Aztec Camera, and The Able Tasmans. 

Chapter Music has just released a vinyl reissue and it’s got so much more to offer while still delivering on the original goods.

The Crayon Fields were a Melbourne-based band and they preceded all the Australia hype.
