Hello! I have a request for mod Calvin, can I request Yan!Cole with childhood friend S/O headcannons ? I imagine Cole was a loner when he was little and S/O was the only friend he had.
Also sorry if this is bad. It's my first time requesting to a mod so it's a bit confusing! Thank you!
I started shaking when I first got this, out of joy, of course!!
I'm sorry if this is lacking direction or seems a bit lost, or all over the place, I don't write headcanons on my own time.
Regardless, thank you for the request!
(Bold of you to assume Cole isn't already a yandere, though….)
□Cole took a very intense liking to you shortly after you met, and, well, it seems apparent that he never did change.
■He never did have any other friends, so for most of your childhood, you'd only do something if he was included, and this only strengthened the already intense emotions he had.
□The last you ever saw of him was just after you two graduated from school, and then, you never saw each other again.
■Regardless of reason, your life became abnormal some time after, but even then, the last thing you expected was to see him again!
□Especially in the context of the scene of a murder! And also being a panther, but he seemed more than happy to help! And who're you to reject?
■Sure, you had suspicions and doubts, but you trusted Cole, and he seemed to at least make an honest effort.
□As the days go by and things seem more hopeless, you and Cole reconnect, and things almost feel like you never did leave each other's side.
■Oh, how he wished that was true.
□He brings up odder, obscure things you hardly remember, not often, but it's always a surprise.
■He likes to use being unable to get into his house on his own as an excuse to spend more time with you, and it works every single time.
□One day, you're looking through everything you've written down, when Cole asks you one of those questions.
■"Do you remember when we kissed? It was...divine. Oh, but it was so long ago, forget it."
□Well, you did...but truth be told, you'd rather not think about it. It was a dare of all things, and it felt awkward to bring it up. Wait, how did he describe that?
■You guess it's better to try and turn him back and be funny about it. If not a bit of a jerk. You lie, and ask him if you want him to remind it.
□You end up kissing and the curse is (somewhat!) broken, and Cole just seems elated.
■"Actually? Now that I think about it, I do."
□It's not uncommon for Cole to (at least try to) take you to places you used to hang out at after that, even if they happen to be hours away.
■Usually it's a path in the woods over the actual location it leads to, or store where you could never choose what to get.
□Most of them are devoid of people, and you quickly find yourself getting a sense of dé·jà vu as Cole stays silent and seemingly fixated on you, which leads to a lot of awkward moments and him tripping quite a bit.
■He remarks on quite a few things being your favorites, most of which are accurate to the modern day over when you actually a child...even if you...never told him anything like that.
□Time flies and you lose all hope in the case, everything leads to nothing, and despite how much effort you both put into it and how awful you feel, Cole seems more relaxed now. It's probably just the stress off his shoulders. Right?
■You start feeling a bit paranoid, no doubt intensified by the sheer amount of odd or dangerous occurrences your lovers are facing on a consistent basis.
□It's not specifically directed at Cole for the most part, but it certainly isn't helping that he's a little more than creepy, now that you think about it….
■You think it's time you stop excusing things for him, you've let all of this blow off for too long, and if he can explain himself, then that's better for the both of you.
□So, one day, you call him up and ask if he would like to come over to have a nice chat.
■Unsurprisingly, he does!
□Just when you're done getting ready and setting everything up, he's at the door, and you decide to just push it off for a bit. You'll bring it up anyways.
■It seemed to have been going well, you both get lost in conversation, and you decide that in the middle of some brief silence, you'd ask.
□It goes awfully.
■At first, you just ask why he seems to stare at you so much, but when he starts excusing it with the fact he missed you, and that he hasn't been able to get enough of you!
□You, understandably get rather worked and uncomfortable when he says this, and you get a bit more serious all around, near damn ready to throw him out of your house.
■It was jarring to see him so outwardly calm throughout the entire thing, but that certainly didn't stop him from trying to convince you nothing was wrong. That friend should trust each other, that you should trust him.
□You threatened to call the police on him, and only then did he leave.
■A few days pass relatively slowly, you're paranoid out of your mind and he took your house keys on his way out.
□The boys offer to stay with you until the locks are changed, and they're the only thing that makes you feel safe.
■And then, you find everything silent.
□Everyone's out of the house, busy with their own lives, you're alone for the first time in days.
■While you're obsessively walking around the house, checking rooms and every corner, welding one of Scale's lesser used (but just as sharp) knives, you find yourself pushed to the ground.
□You're strangled by rope, very soon after.
■You wake up dazed, and intense pain from most parts of your body. Looking around, it's just a mattress on the floor and some prized possessions, new and old.
□Your neck and hand was wrapped securely in bandages, and it's opposite arm was...chained to the wall….
■After a moment you realize just how heavy the rest of your body feels.
□Hours pass and the cycle repeats on and off, finding the energy and willingness to fight or investigate, only to end up winded or your injuries to be prodded at.
■When Cole comes home, he's a wreck. He's shaking, and definitely on the verge of tears.
□He silently cups your face and while initially, you jump back, you two end up standing still in this position for a time. Staring into eachothers eyes.
■"We are never going to be apart ever again. I'll make sure of that."
□He rests his head on your shoulder and squeezes you in his arms tightly. It's silent, and the best you can muster up in any terms of fighting is worthless.
■This won't be your end, surely someone will come for you, you think. But for now...maybe it'd be fine to just rest.
□Cole tilts up your head and forcefully stuffs your mouths together. At least when he's flung back and turned fully human, it takes him a few moments to collect himself fully.
■He's been deprived, he says. Everything will be fine now, he thinks. And for now, it seems like the truth. You sink down into the mattress hopelessly and sigh.
□This is your future. A life with your childhood friend. It seems sweet on paper, but you know you're within your right to dread all that follows.
