The Putrid Grave - Samuel Epilogue - The Godverse

The Beast carried off its new finds, food. It had been so long since Master had eaten. It knew these should suffice, it should be enough for Master to be born. To emerge anew, reborn from pus and fluids of its sac. The Beast knew it would be rewarded soon, yet first it must arrive to it. Dragging behind the two mangled things, it crawled and crawled, the mold rubbing its arms. Glorious.. oh so glorious would be its rebirth. The sac pulsated, aware of what shall begin, the dust drifting off the rotting shell. Feed, it shall feed. Master crawled out of the sac, breaking its shell and emerging to feast, it looked even more glorious than before! Its beautiful abdomen pulsed, processing the flesh it so craved! Snap, went the bones of these flesh things it had just brought. Yes, yes, glorious!

Emerge. Feast ended, time began. Retrieve demigod, perfect. All perfect. Rebirth. Escape. Leave. Begin. Room shake, emerge from prison. Break ceiling, fly up, buzz of wings, air full of mold. Of spores. Yes. Demigod safe, safe in stomach. Leave. Reach Magna Aula. Many. Many god, many king, many glory. Rooms of gold. Rooms of stars. Golden beast sit on throne of fallen. Golden beast speaks, silences all. Many beings, many glory. Many armed snakes. Many eyed wind. Those dragons of ragged skin. Those striped with blood and rot. A golden cookie with gear for eye. A bird of many suns. News came, news came to the many glory. News of space, of place. Place of demigods, place of failures. Golden beast must leave, must end, must let the serpent devour. Golden beast of all, golden beast of none. Putridum back, to spread its spores, disease, the void. And in the end, despite it all. A dead god must be reborn.

The Dimensional Collapse - Pandora 1 - The Godverse

And so I had arrived at the universe of the Black Star, a populated world, perhaps one I can find the cure to my condition. The cure to immortality. For so long had I ran away from my fate, many spoke of me as a hermit, yet I do have a good reason for my travels. Verum Esse's grasp cannot reach me everywhere, right? Not in every universe, not in every world. Everything eventually needs rest, everything eventually forgets, no matter if it takes generations or even longer! For such is nature of all living things, and even gods are alive. And so I walk through the countless streets and buildings, a land not yet touched by the gods. Is it odd? That I envy them, I envy their naivety, lack of knowledge. For if they knew? Their entire existence may be shattered. This universe housed many sapient species.. had they figured out dimensional travel? Many looked so alien, countless limbs and heads, millions of eyes.. yet they all lived side by side. It was beautiful I must say. Would.. humanity ever experience such freedom, such peace if only allowed to exist for longer than it ever knew? A mystery, even to one that lived for millions of years. Nobody knows who I am, nobody knows what I am, as families and couples pass me. As fathers, mothers, children and grandparents walk by my side.. nobody even knows what I am. My odd appearence does not terrify them. Is this what freedom feels like? I had loaned a small home in exchange for manual labour, which I am no stranger to. Still, the fact I am treated so.. normally, with basic decency feels odd to me. And so I arrive to my new temporary home, and.. I look forward. To what future may hold. Such simple joys, joys of normalcy. Yet, despite all? I still do not try to achieve any sort of connections, I do not wish to meet other beings, I do not with to make friends, acquintences or perhaps more. Millenia of wandering through the worlds alone takes a heavy toll. Why would I wish to make friends..? Even if the pale dragon does not arrive.. will I not outlive them? Will I not merely exist until the ones I Begin to love, to cherish turn to mere ash and dust? What is the point? At times like this, even I fear.

The Singularity Cookie

Adopt for @wings-of-eternity !!!

A highly dangerous and unstable entity, composed mostly of Edax residue and a material closely similiar to shattered dust. The entity appears to be a version of Shadow Milk Cookie, which instead of ending up stabbed through the souljam by Silent Salt Cookie, had discovered Edax residue, a material released by the primordial god upon consumption of a neighboring universe. The entity ended up crumbling The Beasts, Ancients and Dark Enchantress, as well as every other cookie in its vicinity. It appears that the entity is capable of disintigrating any living entity in at least a kilometer in its vicinity, causing losses theorized to have reached millions.

Not long after, the primordial god had appeared to devour the universe, yet The Singularity Cookie had hid in its other realm, which appears to for some reason not be affected by the primordial god. It has been strictly forbidden for the TBD to approach the entity due to its destructive nature. It at times appears to mumble into nothingness, speaking of its minions which are long gone, and threatning whatever it believes is nearby.

The Putrid Grave - Samuel 2 - The Godverse

An old church, quite large for any common town building, almost as large as a small cathedral. Is that what they were called? He had not cared much for religion, and much less for architecture. "This is it, this is what I had found." Damien smiled. "So, this is where that.. thing is? How.. had we never heard of this place, I thought we explored these woods completely in the past.." Yet Damien hadn't responded, merely approaching the rotting wooden doors, and pushing tchem agape. Outside, it was evident such a building would have been a marvel to most in its prime state, yet that was not its purpose now was it? Merely to rot and decay, bricks covered in moss, scattered colorful glass all across its vascinity, and two statues guarding the entrance oh so vigilantly. Angels, both kneeling, and staring up at the blocked off by branches sky. Despite their age, their faces were oh so young, so perfect, something he knew little about. But.. during his observations, he hadn't realized Damien had already went inside.

The inside of the church had not been any better, while spacious and grand it was still left alone, the fabric of the rugged floors sprouting mildew, the pews eaten inside out by whatever disgusting vermin spawned inside its wooden form. He spotted Damien, looking around the leftmost hall of the cathedral. Searching. "Damien? What are we exactly looking for." Yet his brother hadn't responded, merely grumbling something, before facing a wall. One which Samuel could not see from his position. Yet, he soon realized, it was a writing. Written in an odd green moldy substance. "Leave, Impiis Animabus", perhaps somebody had marked this ruined place as their own. Samuel understood, a place of your own is a rare privelege. "There seems to be something over there" Damien pointed at the east wall. A disgusting, rotting painting, one of Mother Mary holding Jesus, a piece many would find comfort in. But, neither of them had much care for it, as Damien noticed a hole behind it. Strange, had this wall not faced the outside?

Damien entered the hole, not caring for what danger it could bring, yet what use would it be to stop his brother? Compliance would be the best way in this situation, would it not? Pathetic, as always. Samuel had to follow, he grasped the crumbling brick edge of the hole, and entered, only to witness.. catacombs? Strange. He didn't recall this hole leading down, no, it definitely didn't. One of the few things Samuel luckily brought was a flashlight, knowing they may be here a while as his brother tends to be. This place was disgusting, thats all Samuel could think about, mold and rot covering the walls, floor and ceiling of the spanning catacomb. White soft patches covering its surface, deep enough for it to feel like snow. The air hadn't fared much better, the spores of whatever this mold was were floating around in the light of his flashlight, had his brother known this was here? Is that why he brought the gas masks?

He mused once more, until he heard a voice. "I found it." It was Damien, but.. what? He found it? How. He hadn't expected him to find.. whatever it was he was searching, but now that he did? Even Samuel was curious. He pushed through, leaving a trail in the moldy floor, until he reached a large spacious room. An altar room of some kind? It was enormous, entirely covered in bricks, yet the mold merely sprouted in rare patches of its curved walls. But.. his attention fell not on the walls, or floors, or ceiling but, the middle of the room. Something was hanging down from the wall, surrounded by bodies, each kneeling and praying up at its rotten form. A lump of slimey silk-like substance, covered in mold and dust. It hadn't moved for a long time, perhaps it was not alive in the firstplace? Damien was standing amongst the bodies, inspecting them. Naked, rotten, disgusting husks devoid of any living features.

"There it is, the thing I was looking for". He reached out for the motionless sac, yet Samuel grabbed his arm before he could touch its furry surface. "Don't touch it, I do not know what it is but, I can't let you hurt yourself. I've stood aside for so long. We found what you were looking for, we can leave." Yet Damien merely stared at his arm. "I've spent months looking for it, yet you deny me the peace? Why, brother. Why are you doing this to me?" he growled out, a venom Samuel had not seen in a long, long time. His dearest brother he allowed to do anything he wished, yet now? It had to end. Whatever was inside that sac, alive or not, was not safe.

"No, we're leaving. Right now." Yet, as soon as he spoke it out, something came down and pierced his brother's ribcage. A rusty, metal hook of some kind, the sound of shattering bone and squelching viscera were the only thing he could hear in this silent prison. His own brother's blood stained his masked cheek, the crimson liquid tainting his very own being. The last remnants of his kin. All before he was yanked up by whatever was holding the hook up, whatever was in the ceiling. Samuel stood there, motionless, quiet. All until he heard another metal clank, and something sliding down. He had to run, he had to. As pathetic as it was, he had to leave.

And so, he ran, and ran, through the large room, and through the catacombs, until finally he climbed out the disgusting brick hole. Freedom, the moonlight shone down at his sweat covered form. All until, he heard a click from the rug floor, and two hooks shot out piercing his feet. He had no Chance to scream before he was pulled down, pulled and pulled, his body mangling as he was thrust against the floor, until finally it left through a small hole under the rug, too contorted to be called a human being anymore. Merely a tool for whatever it is that found him.

The Dimensional Collapse - Pandora 2 - The Godverse

Even in such a tranquil universe, even in such a remote world, I began to see signs. Signs of what I had wished to never come. As the stars gleam in the night sky, I can't help but let go. A glass in one hand, a roast in the other. I missed it, to sit down, chat with people, even ones I do not know. I stare at the spacial expanse above me, telling tales of my travels past. And then, I hear it. A bell. The bell that tolls the end. No, please no. I had thought I was free, it had been so long since I was found! Why? Why had they forsaken me? Why has this happened to me? And yet the answer will never come. I must make peace, for I am not special. I am not anybody but another failure of these cosmic beings existence. I take a swig, and ready myself for what shall come. A bright star in the sky, approaching closer and closer to the planet's atmosphere, yet it is no star. But a being. The herald of the end, the being of order, one that hates me so. Verum Esse. Its grand wings illuminate the sky, thousands, no, millions of eyes peer out vacantly.. yet despite all, I know their gaze is on me. Many innocent beings laught thinking it is but a performance. Many scatter in fear. And even more freeze, staring at the majesty of a god. It roars, the tongue of millions of voices. I do not understand it, for its language is grander than any mortal tongue, yet one thing I know. Its rage is uncontrollable. And so it gazes up above, at the sky, and instantly clears all the clouds, all the ash and dust, all the things plagueing the atmosphere. And I see it, the sky full of stars, full of planets, I can gaze far further than one would normally. I can see galaxies, I can see black holes, nebulas. And worst of all? I can see its target. A planet not so far away from this one, most definitely big enough to aid its goal. It unhinges its jaws, so far away from us yet even I can hear that disgusting crack of bone and muscle. A light, like a newborn star emerges from its maw, and then shoots out. The impact of the lazer breaking out of the atmosphere deafens those around me, I can hear their screams of pain, I can see them clutching their bleeding ears, begging for it to end. I can feel the disgusting slime I've come to despise with my whole being droop down, down, down my ears. The beam impacts the planet, and then moves down, cutting it in half. The planet seperates, creating two halves. One rock, lava, core and minerals as one would expect, but the other? Void. Darkness. All black except for a single glowing eye at the end, and then another, and another. Four in total. The god has awoken, and it wishes a sacrifice of a world. It flies out of the planetary portal, a serpent the size of worlds, a devourer of all that is and all that will be, Edax. The bringer of the end. As its body swims out, the debris changes direction.. towards us. First small, then bigger and bigger pieces of the planet rain down on the land, the closest to the impact truly were the luckiest. Eviscerated the quickest, those the furthest? Burn alive. Their charred flesh assaulted my nerves, reminded me as to why I should never stay, why I should keep running, why I had caused this and nobody else. I hold a hand of one I've come to know today, a younger man of a species I cannot quite remember the name of. I see the fear in his face as he chokes on his own blood. I'm sorry I whisper, yet I may never know if he can ever forgive me. The serpent finally ceases its escape from the portal and spots me. Its face shows no emotion, no mind, no care for what it had done. As I reach down for my blade, I hadn't even realized I was burnt as well, my charred flesh and muscle clinging to my bones. My brain couldn't even register the pain, and yet I persist. I unsheathe the blade, and plunge it deep, deep into my being, before ripping it out. My blood, pools down, and forms a circle, before it opens. A portal, another escape route. I've failed this world by existing in it, and I will fail another by escaping. For that is the life of a hermit. For that is the life of a demigod.

hey so what's up with that banner at the end of your posts? more specifically, the image itself. the text needs no explanation it's just based as fuck. anyway is it some kind of space dragon?

Oh! Edax is a character from my stories, specifically Godverse! Its a lovecraft horror inspired storyline about gods and stuff :) Edax ended up as my favorite OC out of all of them in the storyline, so I starte to use them as a mascot of sorts! :D
