Call me old-fashioned but can we please leave all the ship shaming out of fandom spaces?

Ships don't need to be canon

Ships don't need to be implied in canon to be shippable (hell, the characters don't even need to have met in canon)

Ships can be morally questionable to downright wrong when you look at them from a real life perspective

Ships can involve an adult character and a minor character (which btw isn't inherently wrong also in real life, it always depends on the context)

Ships can involve real life people and there's nothing wrong with that (rpf is a thing ok?)

Ships can have different sexualities than what the characters have in canon (which is probably the origin of shipping altogether)

I could go on like this forever and my point is everything is, can, and should be possible when it comes shipping. Shipping is after all just a fantasy and it often is, can, and should be a space to explore things you maybe can't, wouldn't or don't want to explore in real life.

And I'm not saying you can't have an opinion on a certain ship but if you don't like it, just don't say that it's wrong and that people who ship it are gross, ok?
