Many people guessed that the coffee shop uncle was one of the Lobbyists (@negrowhat and @slonekaru just to quote a few) and they were right!
He has always acted like he knew more than what he pretended to and he told us, from the beginning that he knew Sun's father. We still don't know if he was the masked man (I was trying to see if the hair is the same, but I'm bad at guessing), but of is sure, it's that he is one of the higher ups in the organization.
We've previously seen the tattoo in Sun's house among his father's belonging on this card. However, we still don't know what the numbers mean.
The Lobbyists have tried to get Songpoom to join them, but he always refused and they warned him it was a mistake. They weren't so wrong because he died and they did nothing to avoid it. Even though they seemed to have been able to guess almost every moves Jo has made. I bet they could have saved him, if they really wanted it. I wonder if it was to show him that he should have listened to them.
The Lobbyists can pretend they control the bad people, but in fact, they have their own agenda. As long as it fits what they want, they are willing to do something. Otherwise, they will let people died if they are no longer useful to them: Madam Yao and Songpoom are just collateral victims. Even Mr Jo is somehow a victim of their game.
However, it seems they haven't really anticipated well Jihoon and Aim's plan and now they are enrolling Sun in their fights against them. Maybe, if they acted before, they could have done something before it escalating this way.
I found funny the chess symbolism linked to the Lobbyists. At first, I thought the fact they choose the "knight" for their "soldiers" had a meaning. Now, I think it just to show that they are pawns in a bigger game and they can only move under their guidance.
Now, Sun and Nap have to work for them and hide this to their friends.
