It's Joever...
The Water Orb saga in Book 1 is one quest chain that I really hope ends up being Reimagined, because currently the story feels really short and abrupt, and the setting feels kind of empty. Which is a shame because I really enjoy the story and the lore we get about Kathool, the water elves, Captain Davy and Aquella.
I would love to have additional quests in the Locker that flesh out Diawe and Caran (because it felt like those two were just randomly standing in the inn and didn’t play a role in the story until the very end), and better develop Aquella and her relationship with the Hero so that it doesn’t feel so abrupt when Aquella starts trusting and liking them.
I would also love to see the underwater setting expanded, with the water elves’ city being added as a place we can visit, maybe after the Hero investigates the city and finds out the truth about what happened to the water elves. And I’d also love to see the water elves back in their city again after Kathool’s defeat and be able to interact with them. I’m so intrigued by the water elves and it’s a shame that we don’t see much of them outside of the water orb saga.
And as he took me into his arms, the rain didn't matter at all.
Richie Tankersley Cusick, from The Locker
How do you think Jack has changed physically, mentally and emotionally after spending months in Davy Jones’ locker?
I have a lot of thoughts on this, and why that was his torture in the first place. He was trapped on land, alone, with his crew being copies of himself.
I imagine this is a combination of his need for freedom, his fear of being alone, and self hatred being used to torture him. So this made each of these things far worse.
His need for freedom became a fear of being trapped and a need to constantly be on the sea. His fear of being alone got much worse to the point where he constantly needed reassurance.
He also hated both his looks and his own personality, and he was never insecure about his looks until the locker. He hated the sound of his own voice after that being the only sound he could hear for months. And he got so sick of his own personality because no one was there to balance him out. All he had were people just like him. There is no Gibbs to be supportive and play off him, no Marty sassing him and using the biggest guns, and no Cotton giving him questioning glances as he rolls his eyes at his captain's antics.
It doesn't take very long for him to become very annoyed with his copies' inability to be different than him, which causes him to start to hate himself more than he already did.
Physically, i imagine he struggled to eat and drink anything. He didn't have food in the locker and didn't need it, so all of a sudden having access to food and drink in good quantities(there was ONE peanut in the locker), made him nauseous. Especially after being forced to eat something.
Ladybug: Lucky Charm!! A key?
Chat Noir: The least mysterious lucky charm yet. Gee, I wonder how you're going to defeat 'The Locker' with a key.
Ladybug, having already rigged a 17 step trap: Wait, what are you suggesting? That we just unlock all the padlocks he has set?
Chat Noir, mildly impressed: That's what I was going to suggest, but now I'm intrigued. Proceed.
I kid you not, this is my locker.
Lia: Burn it to the ground
