“Tomorrow’s” Here! New Reissue Shines Light on The Modulators
Tomorrow’s Coming, the sole album by New Jersey’s The Modulators, originally released in 1984, was briefly reissued in 2010 (to this writer’s ears it sounded suspiciously like a needledrop). Now Manufactured Recordings have remastered and reissued the album from the original tapes, adding an incredible EIGHTEEN bonus tracks, including their first single from 1980, tracks from compilations, and twelve previously unreleased demos.

Joe Riccardello of The Modulators. Who are you wearing?

Who in the band looks the best in bowling shoes?
Tie - Mark Higgins, Mark Westlake. Best bowler in the band?
Jim Brennan. Favorite Paul Collins song?
"I Don't Fit In."
What is power pop?
Great melodies, crunchy chords, harmony vocals.
Who has the best hair in Brit Pop?
Paul Weller, who also wore some mean bowling shoes.
Best use of modulation in a power pop song?
Tie - The Who, "So Sad About Us", The Raspberries, "Tonight".
Best thing about playing the Cavern?
Standing where The Beatles played.
Biggest differences between being a power pop band in the 80's and in 2013?
I think there is a bit more respect and reverence for the genre now. In the 80's there were a lot of band-wagon jumpers.
What is your message for the kids?
Get off the cell phone and go see a band!
