Leeds based crew The NorthaZe, which consists of rappers Kosi Tides & Swiss, first came across my radar earlier on this year, when they dropped their debut project, ‘Volume 8′, on Blah Records (Click Here). Ever since then, through out the year, they have been a consistent member of my Itunes certi playlist, which still gets heavy rotation to this day. The uniqueness in their jagged flow, which contrasts to the relaxed production that they spit over is nothing like i hear from anyone else. It has the correct energy to drop in a set, as well as being perfectly suitable to play when you’re on a calm vibe. 

Starting as they mean to go on. ‘Dream Emulator’ (Like their last project) is a genuine slice of perfection for me. It has all the characteristics that i enjoy in music. The production has me envious, and the chemistry between both members seems to finely crafted, to the point where they both have it on smash now. it’s another project that i’v come across recently that i can listen to repeatedly all the way through, without ever skipping a song.

New(Ish) one from the Leeds based crew, The Northaze, is finally on the blog after a massive delay. ‘8am Trekker’ is a straight vibe that’s all that i can say. These boys are ill and have been on repeat for a few months now. They have originality and steez in abundance, and I fuck with their music HEAVY!. I recommend you do the same.

Some newness from Manchester’s own Blah Records tonight. This time it’s the crew from Leeds, NorthaZe, with their song ‘Volume 8′. 

This is the first time i’v heard of NorthaZe, but my first impressions of them are that they’re dope. I love their style over this beat. They have such a casual, laid back flow. Especially considering that the beat is on some 135-140 steez as well. I can see myself playing this tomorrow morning, whilst i get ready for the day.

The beat is amazing. Big ups to Jatce for this one. I love the sustained synth lead, and the vocal chops. I’v always got love for the vocal chops on any BPM, especially on some Garage/Bass tip as well. I quickly checked his Soundcloud earlier, and he has made some of the most incredible beats on there.  Check him out if you like these kind of beats.
