🐰🖌️Maxwell: Its about time that us painters deserved our own Inktober moment. That’s right! Leo and I doing some Halloween decorations with our brushes and tails. *Though mostly Leo can handle with the tail brushing part.* We even had our unicorn friend joining in as well; as especially where I formed her as “Art Buddies” together. 🦁🖌️Leo: Yeah. And this is the first time of meeting her that Maxwell explains me about. Having CraftyCorn around sure is a good help, but her costume of a fairy princess looks nice. 😊 Anyways, we hope this painting we made worth bringing to the party. It may look less scary, but we don’t mind at all.

Terrifier vs. Urbanspook (Spoilers)

Been thinking about why I love the Terrifier series while I also think Urbanspook is trash. Came up with some explanations. Namely because of how Leone actually listened to criticism of his first Terrifier movie and made improvements and adding a plot and characterization to Terrifier 2 whilst Urbanspook's setting doesn't really have characters with any likes or wants and exist just to be meat bags the killers butcher.

And then there is the whole gore. Honestly even in T3 with the ||ball slicing|| to me, the gore goes so far it rebounds to being funny because of how over-the-top it is. Meanwhile Urbanspook is limited by the generic text, here's a spoopy photo of a victim as a painting, she was stabbed two thousand times, isn't that sad?

Even with the fact both kill children. To me, T3 does it in a tasteful manner where we do not see Art chopping up the boy, and while we see the aftermath, it is honestly rather tame compared to the other excruciating methods that Art enacts. And the other "tame" one being the bomb he plants in the mall. All of these succeed at painting Art as an irredeemably monstrous character while Urbanspook treats child murder more as just shock value rather than anything meaningful. Also helps that the kid characters actually are that, characters with actual lives. That and no SA regarding kids unlike US.

Really, what I liked about Terrifier 3 is how it treats the characters as being actual people who had long lives that were taken from them in such a cruel fashion. Some were still flat like Mia whose schtick is she is a Take That to true crime and the insensitivity stemming from it.

The Painters are cosmic beings that bring color to Mother Nature and the world. From the sentimental Dusk, to the proud Dawn, and to the shy Rainbow,  each of the Painters are all extremely human and completely godlike.
