edit: was reading lil bill’s community section on youtube and it actually got me thinking. that this whole situation would look way more different and mixed if luigi was darker. and that made me upset. but it also proves more points, especially if his punishment ends up being somewhat “light”.

I think it's more from his moneyed upbringing. It's beneath him to drive himself. People of value and wealth have drivers and as Harley pointed out, he absolutely wants to show up daddy about how he's successful even after having been thrown out of Janus Corp.
