i don’t think Elwing knew how to be a mother - she didn’t understand it, she wasn’t prepared for it, and she didn’t want it. She deserves some credit for being a single parent (that’s what the speech bubble in the picture is referencing - the twins probably didn’t listen to Earendil because he was around too rarely for them to see him as an authority figure) but she must have been pretty shit about it since she abandoned her sons fairly willingly. (Yeah, she had swords pointed at her and an insidious gem shining in her eyes, but those are paltry excuses.)

Or maybe her last thoughts while falling were it’s alright sweethearts don’t be afraid we’ll see each other soon in a better place

today i

got my hair cut (i think it's REALLY obvious that this happened by this point)

made vegetarian lasagna from scratch (it's in the oven right now!)

am doing some stuff for work (slow goiiingg but yay for working at home so i can do it in spurts!)

washed the bed sheets (fresh laundry!)

keep touching my short hair because that freshly cut hand brushing is the best

drank tea in my favorite mug TWICE also it is like 6pm and the sun is still out so that's fabulous. also the female indie pop singers songza radio station is good for motivation. i need motivation to put away my clothes (i'm the worst at that.)

I am not making friends. I would safely say I have made the aquaintance of 5. I hate living at home. I hate communting. I like OCC but after talking via skype to one of my other friends I kinda hate it. I kinda wish I wasnt stuck in this god forsaken town I wish that I knew what to do with my life I wish someone would understand this hate that I carry in my chest for myself and everything that I am. 

Well my health teacher said that I should think positive because if I do I'll live longer:

I'll probably go on a weekend trip to mahatten so that I get out of writing an essay and get an easy A. That will have to entail making friends.

I'm really excited by the prospect of going to Mexico and Belieze even if the whole dont drink the water thing freaks me out. 

I have my first rehersal with SU brass tomorrow!

My new horn teacher is so nice and sweet and is proud of me and is such a cheerleader and it makes me so happy to have an adult in my life that affirms in me that they are proud of me and what I do(my manager at work told me I was taking to many credits excuse me fuck you).

My photo teacher seems to like me which makes me happy. Incredibly so. 

I love my yoga class and my teacher is hilarious and I can feel my body getting more and more supple. Now I just have to do the work during the week. 

My friend who I had an unfortunate encounter with this summer has simply been ignoring me and brushing me aside which I mean yes college busy but if this just makes it easier for me to realize...ehhh not so nice. Still needs to grow up. Still not in control.
