the issue with the magic vs responsibility lesson that relda is trying to impose is they responsibility is represented by complete inaction on her part. she doesn’t let Sabrina play around with magic to save her parents but also makes no attempts to reassure her, her parents will be found or show that she is giving any of the real issues her granddaughter is concerned with any thought at all.
and Daphne takes her grandmother’s side because her sister has successfully shielded herself from everything up until now so she’s learned to wait for things to be solved, which is okay since she’s 8 but she is absolutely heartless towards Sabrina at times
