is it too insane to want a pitch perfect x top gun au? because you know, pete mitchell, beca mitchell's dad who makes her go to college. and conveniently that college is in San Diego next to the Top Gun academy. and so we have bradley singing Great Balls of Fire and suddlenly it gets turned into a riff off between the Bellas, the Treblemakers, and some very confused but very amused navy aviators.
Summary: Stage fright was something you usually struggled with, but it wasn’t a big issue. Being a Barden was common in your family. You mother was a Bella, your father was a Treble, and your grandmother was a Bella. After getting into the acapella group, getting to know Stiles was going to be a breeze.

Stiles, Jesse and I walked into the auditorium. It was full of people. I then realized, I haven’t sang in front of a huge crowd of people before. I turned around, but before I could get any further Stiles pulled me away from the exit. “You’re not backing out of this. I know I’ve only known you for a day, but I know you can sing.” I huffed and walked over to see that my dorm-mate was sitting down in the front row.
“Amy, right?”
She looked up and smiled, “That’s me!” I brought me in for a hug, “And you’re?
“Y/N,” I finished, “Ever sung before?”
“Oh yeah,” she replied, “Been singing since I was eight.” I looked behind me only to find that Stiles had been staring at me the whole time. We both waved and I turned to face that stage with a smile drawn on. “Whose he?” Amy asked referring to my new guy friend.
“Oh him?” she nodded, “He’s one of my friends.” She looked back and waved, “he’s cute.” Just then, two boys walked onto the stage with clipboards in hand.
“Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen!” The short one greeted, “Today will me the most important tryout of your life. Today we will see if your are Barden Bella or any of the other groups material. I hope you all are ready to show us what you got! Let’s acca-do this!” They both bowed and walked off stage to sit with three other people. Multiple people went up. Some were bad some were good. Chloe stood up with her pink clipboard, “Y/N!”
I walked up the stage while Stiles, Jesse, and Amy cheered my name. “Please State your name and one thing about yourself,” Aubrey flipped through some pages. “Um,” I laughed nervously. “Let’s go, Y/N!” Stiles yelled.
“My names Y/N and I like to play lacrosse,” I smiled. Aubrey soon motioned me to began. I cleared my throat and sang:
Here's the thing, we started out friends
It was cool but it was all pretend
Yeah, yeah
Since you been gone
You dedicated, you took the time
Wasn't long 'til I called you mine
Yeah, yeah
Since you been gone
And all you'd ever hear me say
Is how I pictured me with you
That's all you'd ever hear me say
But since you been gone
I can breathe for the first time
I'm so movin' on, yeah, yeah
Thanks to you
Now I get what I want
Since you been gone
How can I put it? You put me on
I even fell for that stupid love song
Yeah, yeah
Since you been gone
How come I'd never hear you say
"I just wanna be with you"?
Guess you never felt that way
But since you been gone
I can breathe for the first time
I'm so movin' on, yeah, yeah
Thanks to you
Now I get, I get what I want
Since you been gone
You had your chance, you blew it
Out of sight, out of mind
Shut your mouth, I just can't take it
Again, and again, and again, and again
I grasped my shaking hands as the audience cheered. “Well done,” Aubrey clapped. “We’ll keep in touch,” Chloe said.

We were gestured to sit on some bar stools. Before I knew it a paper bag was thrown over my head. “Amy,” I whispered. “Yeah?” She answered. “Are we being kidnapped?” I asked. “I don’t know, If we are I hope our kidnapper is cute or somewhat date-able,” She replied. “You’re not being kidnapped,” I recognized the voice as Chloe’s. “Phew,” I sighed. “The sopranos,” Aubrey stood a few stools down from me, “Jessica, Mary Elise, and Lily.” Squeals were heard from the girls. “Our mezzos,” Aubrey stepped over to the three other girls, “Cynthia Rose, Stacie, and Kori.”
I then felt her presence behind me, “And our Altos. Fat Amy, Becca, Denice, Ashley and Y/n!” The bag was pulled away from my face. I smoothed down my hair. “Now,” Aubrey sighed and picked up a glass, “Shall we drink the blood of the sisters before us!”
“Gross, What?” Beca and I said.
“Don’t worry, it’s just Boone’s farm,” Chloe whispered. “Now if you’ll place your scarf in your right hand.” Chloe spoke. “I, sing your name,” Aubrey said. We all sung our names, in horrible tune might I add.
“Promise to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a Bella woman,” Aubrey added, “and I solemnly promise to never have sexual relations with a treble-maker.” We continued to repeat her words until she said, “Or may my vocal chords be ripped out by wolves.” Beca and I exchanged a weird glance like we were thinking the exact same thing. “You are Bellas now!” Aubrey said. Cheers erupted from my fellow singers. I covered my ears from the sudden noise of excitement.

“Okay Ladies welcome to a-ca-initiation night!” Aubrey said as we walked into a huge room which what looked like a warehouse, "Prepare to soften the beach.” She muttered. The building was crowded with people. Everyone dispersed while I stayed in the back. I looked through the crowds and soon found another familiar face. There Stiles was trying his best to dance (GIF above), but he wasn’t really successful. I laughed and continued to look around. Soon, Stiles noticed my appearance.
“Hey!” He cheered, “How was initiation?”
“Weird, but I’m a Bella now!” I pointed to the scarf. “You wanna dance?” he yelled over the music. “Sure!” yelled back. He grabbed my hand. I looked at my goofy and handsome friend. ‘Oh no!’ I thought to myself, ‘I can’t be falling for a Treble-maker!’
