bucky barnes posting so be warned. i do not remember what happened in falcon and the winter soldier but i do know he wasn’t back to gerard way hair levels of bad by the end of it so what tf is happening in thunderbolts. i also have not seen the black widow movie so idk any of those other ppl in the thunderbolts movie either. all i know is allegedly chris evans is back in the new avengers movie coming out and god willing he plays steve again as they committed egregious character assassination by having him choose to go back to jim crow times to go be with a woman he kissed once instead of staying in the present to help his best friend heal from an amount of trauma that the human mind is incapable of processing. and ideally he’ll come back to do what he does best and save bucky a third time from whatever the fuck is going on. this of course will not happen as marvel is incapable of making interesting and satisfying character choices instead focusing on nostalgia and propaganda but a girl can dream

it came to my attention that i have enough extra material, be it outtakes or unused ideas, from by the seashore that i could... put it into a collection. the tatizeke discord server was supportive of the idea so here is the first chapter of the wayside, which is just a mess of seashore related stuff. first chapter is the story of how Zeke exactly obtained Ephraim the horse, since a surprising amount of ppl actually. really liked the horse

The first attempt, he barely gets his other foot in the stirrups, and then Ephraim rears back and completely dislodges him. Ezekiel is just glad the dirt is somewhat soft, because he hits the ground hard with a loud grunt. Ephraim trots away to stand by Tatiana and stares at him, and if he didn’t know any better, he would say the horse looked smug and amused.

Sorry to keep you waiting

I know I said I'd try to keep up with this blog, but its fallen by the wayside (heh). Whenever I'm not doing stuff to do with the star, I pick up odd jobs for gas money, and the one I have now is brutal.

Anyway, enough about me; back to the wayside.

I've figured out some things about how the place works, which I'll list out here:

You can only enter or exit the wayside when it's dark outside in the normal world. It's always dark in the wayside, so a clock will help a lot.

The layout of the wayside is consistent, but the entry points are not.

If you leave the same way you entered, you'll end up somewhere near where you entered.

If you try to leave when it's light out, the road will be a dead end. When it gets dark and you look away, suddenly it will continue.

Leaving from a different road than the one you entered on will send you somewhere far away. How far is not consistent; sometimes I go halfway across the country, sometimes halfway around the world.

Lastly, radios are weird in the wayside. When it works, it always seems to be playing music by the same band. The music's pretty good actually; wish I knew the band (if it's real). There's never any commercials either. But the strangest thing is, the music seems to be prophetic in some way. Different songs mean different things. I'll try to make a list some time later.

First time

Wow, great start to this blog. What's it been, a week? 2? I can barely remember what day of the week it is (not that I could before all of this started). Not much has happened recently, so I guess I'll tell you all about the first time I found the wayside.

I was driving down a highway at night. Kinda tired, but not in danger of nodding off. It was dark; no street lights, thick trees on either side, and the moon was a tiny crescent. The drifting star had been straight ahead for a while, but then it suddenly swerved to the right. As expected, there was an exit up ahead, and I took it.

Immediately my radio cut out. My GPS lost connection too. I didn't think anything of it at first; service was already spotty. But then the whole atmosphere started to shift. The trees seemed to close in tighter, the road seemed to get darker. A few times I swore I saw something in my rear view mirror, but it was nothing.

Eventually the paved road shifted to dirt, and I came to a crossroads, and I shit you not, the road sign was made of wood. Just planks of wood nailed to a wooden rod. I think the roads were something like "Old Mill Road" and "Oak Lane". Realizing I had no idea where I was anymore, I pulled over and took out my maps.

I wasn't on the map. The exit I had taken didn't exist.
