Incredibly and daunting to write this but here we are at Marionette Kingdom! My KOM OC centric tomodachi island!!! I,, wont lie this is majorly for fun, and I surely hope my burst of energy for it doesn't run out too soon but GIGGLES I've lots to share!!

Id like to give a heads up now, and as a general thing is that I'll be purely,, an observer to a degree! Treating them like little ants in my ant farm, think finn from that one adventure time episode with all the little characters! if x falls in love with y I'll,,, allow it,, within reason but most of the time allow it WAHAWH

But let's meet our residents 💖✨Your warning now that this is an INCREDIBLY long post

I'd like to give a heads up now I sadly don't have.. a usb something converter so my pictures are purely from my phone so the quality wont be the best </3 but so far we have thirteen residents!!!

Dukemir is a Cheerleader, Luci and Scribe are Charmers, Vigil is a Go-Getter, Prin, Ilian, and Musketio are Merrymakers, Duchess and Eva are Perfectionists, Wheylan and Eden are Thinkers, Principito is an Achiever, and Apostle is a Rogue!

Designing all of them was definitely fun, a great part of the process is seeing the face all come together because a lot of Kom OC's are VERY detailed especially in terms of hair, masks, cracks and wounds, and capturing it all and making it look accurate was VERY important to me! Lucky I think all look good!

Salutations!! Giving you another heads up again that I am so lost on how to format this post, since a lot of these will rely on pictures, and the max limit for posts on PC are THIRTY. And there's definitely way more than that, so this post will be significant relationship moments centered!!

I. DUCHESS AND LUCI

This was real early into the game but somehow Duchess found it in herself to behold Luci's beauty and fell for him. I.. still don't know how to feel about this haha, but I can see it happening. Both of them are incredibly level headed and understand communication, albeit still having their own internal problems. But Luci still has his charm and easygoing nature to carry him past Duchess' walls, however long that would take!

Nothing much happened, Duchess has been rather chill with her crush. Also, Duchess, I can promise you everyday is a good hair day for you TT

II. DUKEMIR AND WHEYLAN

Second earliest in the game! I was happy to find Dukemir falling for the wheelwright swift and quick! So swift and quick that!

He confessed on the same day and got promptly rejected after Vigil popped up from behind and Wheylan for reasons beyond me and bee's thinking, chose Vigil. Vigil and Wheylan were acquaintances, btw.

Dukemir was pretty depressed for awhile. I tried absolutely everything I could I swear to god. I didn't have any raccoons so Dukemir had to settle for a turtle. I gave him food, didn't work. Usually having the depressed Mii hang out with a friend of theirs could likely cheer them up! I recruited Duchess, but it didn't work. So who of Dukemir's friends were left? Wheylan. Yeah.

So Dukemir lowcenuinely didn't cheer up too quick.

That is until Wheylan had the bright idea of introducing Dukemir to Vigilante as a friend, and when they started hanging out, Dukemir stopped being depressed. Though this meant the three of them hung out often. With Dukemir as the third wheel.

III. VIGIL AND WHEYLAN

Looking at them ragebaits me because genuinely when Wheylan accepted Vigil's confession, Vigil turned to me and say it was a spur of the moment kind of thing. BUT FOR SOME REASON THEY'RE GETTING ALONG WELL. TOO WELL.

I could certainly see it for someone like Vigil! With Wheylan being rather bashful, Vigil's own charms and wit make it easy work to adapt to puppets like the wheelwright.

This is not the end of Vigil's hate crimes against the Duke though.

IV. EDEN AND VIGIL

EDEN BUMPED INTO VIGIL AND INSTANTLY HAD A CRUSH WHAT IS HIS PROBLEM

When it happened I gen told Dreamy and Bee that this felt so targeted </3 Eden was very serious about his crush too, even after Wheylan and Vigil got together, he still would daydream about Vigil. SIGH!!!

I don't mind it, though it's a rather unstable pairing! With Vigil's active lifestyle,,, I'd ramble but that's for another day!

V. EDEN AND EVA

I don't even know what to tell you either, I was definitely vouching for Eva to fall for Duchess or Luci but Eden stole her heart at a glance apperently </3 When it happened, EDEN WAS STARING AT A TREE

Hardly a dashing scene but whatever floats your boat Eva smh!!!

I.. her attempts are attempts that's for sure! But there's,, sadly a long way ahead </3

OKAY NOW USUALLY IN MY CANON SETTING EDEN WOULD NOT BE LIKE THIS BUT THIS IS TOMODACHI EDEN HIS MIND IS THE WIND IT GOES WHERE IT GOES SORRY NUII 🥀

VI. ILIAN AND MUSKETIO

Are you surprised? I was surprised too. The gasp I gasped and the yell I yelled cannot be described. I faintly like to imagine somewhere on the Island Vigil got a tingle of something being wrong. I had an idea of drawing a silly excerpt from a toh scene where it goes, "A stupid musketeer? *Turns to this scene* THATS MY STUPID MUSKETEER"

THE ONLY REASON THIS EVEN HAPPENED BTW IS THE FACT I BROUGHT MUSKETIO OVER BECAUSE WHEN I CHECKED ILIAN'S STATUS, IT SAID "HE WAS BORED AND WANTED COMPANY"

and the very moment I dropped Musketio onto him, THIS happened. STRANGERS. They were still STRANGERS when this happened. NEVER MET. ANGEL YOUR CHILD FELL AT FIRST GLANCE DO SOMETHING

He wasn't joking. The next time I checked my switch, Musketio already wanted to confess. How did that go?

Guys look how cutieful he is please I was genuinely very proud of how Musketio looked. Now appreciate this moment while it lasts, because

LUCI GENUINELY WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM? ILIAN AND LUCI WERE EITHER STRANGERS OR ACQUAINTENCES WHEN THIS HAPPENED

Compared to Dukemir I was genuinely so sad for Musketio LOOK AT HIM

I, as well tried to cheer him up in anyway I can. I gave him a pet mouse. Gave him butter cookies. Still didn't work. I checked to see if he had any friends that could help cheer him up, and guess who his only friend was? Ilian.

Until now, I'm pretty sure Musketio is still depressed and sulky. Also Ilian and Luci took it so seriously they go on dates and from my last session, live together now. I can see it working but I still feel horrible for musketio look at him.

VII. APOSTLE AND DUKEMIR

BELOVED DONT KILL ME I TRIED THE BESTT I COULD APOSTLE AND LUCI ARE ACQUAINTENCES WHEN THIS HAPPENED FRANKLY ITS ALL APOSTLE'S FAULT IF U THINK ABOUT IT

What do I even say for these two? if you check the random moments post, you'll see a moment where Dukemir was with his pet turtle. Because Dukemir was walking him. And Apostle happened to be nearby on a stroll, and when he got too close. This happened.

I mention before there are WAY more images but in one of them, Apostle took it too seriously, looked at the sky and saw a Dukemir shaped cloud </3 I suppose the Luci ship has sailed sigh

This is still a pretty fresh out of the oven crush! Not much happened yet!

As a general update from me, this was a fun exercise to do while I'm still on my break. As of now, my goals or to-do list is tidy up the island a bit, like, make a concrete design, and add the main KOM Cast, then return to adding more KOM OC's!!

I'M NOT NEGLECTING MY OTHER MOOTS TRUST, MOOTS I HAVENT CONTACTED YET EXPECT A MESSAGE OR SUCH IN YOUR ASKBOX SOON MAYHAPS,, I'd be open to any submissions as well, considering the mii limit is quite literally 70 - and so far this is just THIRTEEN residents.

Grumbles, Can I be the first to admit I'm not too happy with the formatting of this? Admittedly the picture limit weakened me so I'm not at my peak but I hope this was a fun read <3

I forgot to ask as well dearest moot's, my goal for the island is to generally let the Mii's do what they'd like, think of that one adventure time episode with finn and all the little people! Though this does mean there will be chances of them falling in love with other Mii's and I'd like to ask if you'd all be comfortable with that? If not, say the word!

For Cherry's case, from what I know, the child Mii's can fall in love but I don't believe there are any other cases similar to them around,, AND THEY WONT BE WITH EACH OTHER I PROMISE </3 prin and Principito are set as siblings!

Here we are at the second update!! We just call it chapter two since it sounds more whimsical GIGGLES

Now heads up, due to the amount of things that happened - This may be seperated into different posts with how much pictures I'd have to show and I'm incredibly limited to only 30 images per post!!

But let's see an update at our residents 💕

Gravelyn. Pipi and Scholastica are Cheerleaders, The Angel, Wizzy and Chromo are Buddies, Hale is a Daydreamer, Prieston is a Charmer, Jestyn is a Go-Getter, Countine and Medic are Dynamos, Damsel is a Thinker, Knighter is a Rogue, and Crownus is a Maverick !!

It's always so exciting going to the photo booth to see them all gathered together, and that makes about 27 residents so far! The most troublesome miis to make so far as I go are definitely ones that have their faces obscured in some way,,, Not in a bad way!! Just means more careful detailing needed!! Though I definitely enjoyed The Angel the most!!

Another fun part of it is seeing the variety in all of their designs haha, just look at all the colors and hair variations,,, its GENUINELY very interesting. Hale gets bias from me for being very cute GIGGLES LIKE LOOK HOW CUTIEFUL HE AND MUSKETIO LOOK

So we naturally continue from where we were after the first update, which is Eden deciding to confess to Vigil

It goes as well as you expect. Which is bad. Because Vigil was already with Wheylan here.

So imagine my horror when I brought Wheylan to cheer up the very depressed Eden only for Eden to straight up fall in love with Wheylan right then and there. Great!!! ChainedShadow!!! but reminder!!! WHEYLANS WITH VIGIL </3

GIGGLES but at least it felt accurate for Eden, falling for the person that shows him kindness and support.

Okay buddy. I still giggle at the fact THEY managed to click </3 They didnt even have a proper crushing stage, they only happened because LUCI barged in Musketio's confession and for reasons beyond me, Ilian chose him.

And sometimes it's a bit jarring considering how they differ in terms of beliefs and personalities. With how guarded Ilian is, and how laidback Luci is in comparison. He's secretive, yes, part of his charm is definitely the mystery, but even then he's much more willing to allow others to look under the hood.

Yet Ilian's own struggle with emotional vulnerability could be a point of tension for them both. If by all means, Luci is willing to wait for him with open arms, but that's a step for Ilian to take, Luci can only nudge and let him decide for himself. But what would be more important then? His beloved? Or his revenge? Then I giggle at the thought of Ilian pulling a. "its not my fault, ITS YOUR FAULT" because why wont u just take his side es em aych!!! LHLHLH

also giggles because for some reason they removed Luci's hood but that's fine he's very handsomeful. Also YOU CAN SEE ILIAN IN CLOSE UP LOOK AT HOW HANDSOME HE IS SIGH should've been me smh!!!

so yes this happened. No disruptions, no interruptions, no nothing. Also small Principito cameo GIGGLES. While I can assume this would be very unlikely, it IS interesting to think how this pairing would even try and attempt to work with how,,, I assume, differing, both Dukemir and Apostle are as individuals.

Look at the number, TWO days Luci, only been together two days </3 Though I can't call out Luci when Ilian's also eager. It just so happens that Luci was eager first. While realistically, I,,, can sadly see this not going well - It is still pretty funny to imagine what the canon puppets would be like reacting to their Mii selves WAHAWHHAW

Luci's!!!! Very,,, amused. Baffled but amused nonetheless by his miniature self,,, although he won't fault him too badly, Mini Ilian is very cute as well. Overall wouldn't take it too seriously, I compare the miis to be semi-accurate to the actual versions but still very dumb and whimsical.

Not an official update, but moreso a little sneak peak and ramble before Marionette Kingdom Chapter Two update GIGGLES See any new faces?

Also crine Luci you rude little shit shortest in the front tallest in the back ur big ass head is covering Prin and Principito </3 Countine if you were any taller you'd cover Wheylan's head es em aych!!

General Ramble ahead 🌹

I'm very happy with how the new residents turn out, makes a good way to pass the time making new miis - Admittedly dreamy had me scratching my head on how the helly I was gonna draw Countine butt I managed!!

That aside, while a lot of things did happen (which makes me worried for the next update since I fear I'll have to share a lot of pictures that'll likely split it to two or three parts WAHWHAW) I took the opportunity to design the island!! Specifically, the noble center area!!

I want to sorta give a nod to the worldbuilding by making the island reminiscent to how I think the kingdom would be. Again this is mostly my interpretation so it can fit my OC's!!! But I do imagine for the sake of making this make sense, the theatre's bigger than it looks - and is likely seperated into different sections and floors. Thus we have the center area of the island that should be where the nobles and general aristocracy would gather!!

The two inner lines of houses belong to the more 'important' puppets such as the Countess or the little prince, the dirt squares you see around are just vacant spots where future residents will be!!

The two mansions at the front are House Evaine and House Ruellington :DD And if you can notice, they have a decent amount of residents </3 the two other mansions behind them are meant for the other ah, aristocratic houses.

I imagine in my sorta worldbuilding to add more roles, there are likely puppets who are considered 'heads' or overseers of houses. Duchess is one of them, and so the vacant spot in the picture is just another area for a mansion!!

I won't lie to you I had to knack my head around on how I'll be formatting this, since I had to weigh in on which puppet would go where - if they'd be within the general nobility/castle or in the town, points at Musketio's case.

I added him either way within the main area since as a Musketeer, he's likely in a specialized branch within the knights Im assuming? But even if it wasnt the case, he's probably well liked enough to be welcomed into the better parts of the theatre due to the good stance puppets have on musketeers as a whole.

So on and so forth if you can guess, whoever puppets are in the main area of the island - are pretty lucky WAHWH its why I put a lot of effort in prettying it up. I gave exceptions to puppets like Apostle or Scholastica, since I think academics and the church, while seperate factions, would be associated with the nobility either way. Not on the same level, but still there I would think.

So you can take a quick guess what life will be like for puppets like Illian or Gravelyn,, yeah they go to the town </3 NOT AS BAD!!! per se,, but not as pretty looking. But it could be worse definitely!! points at Eden as example.

I also had to be smart with the format for more special puppets like Eden, Vigil and Luci - Luci's definitely within the town still, it's just,, yknow. His room/house is his caravan haha. But I'll also have to get creative since he lives with Ilian now. I would also have Wheylan be in the town but alas he lives with Duchess now. For. Whatever reason. And Eden...

..

Well I at least have my iron fences ready for the prison area, so medic will likely go there too. The town is going to be to the left of the main square!!! since to the right, I'll be making the right side a special area for human characters :DD points at Eva.

It'd feel a bit out of place if her house was with the puppets I'd think, and I'd greatly assume anyway she has a home of her own a ways away from the theatre, so it'd feel fitting since it means her mii would have to walk a bit to go meet up with the puppets GIGGLES And also because it'll give me reason to organize say,, a city area? It'll be where I put the market and the ferries wheel, etc!!

what else,, what else,,, OKAY not as related to the kingdom anymore but look at how prettiful Damsel looks oh my fucked up little role snatcher <3 It's very funny to see him and Eden interact since I know damn well they wouldnt get along. Choose ur flavor of doomed blonde guys LHLHL

also, counting now in the picture, WE ONLY HAVE SIX LADIES ON THE ISLAND OH MY GATOS </3

MMM WHAT ELSE,, if anyone's curious. Vigil, Eden and Wheylan live in House Evaine and Apostle, Dukemir and Prin live in House Ruellington. WHY wasnt principito invited yet? I DONT KNOW </3 Blame Dukemir SIGH. And who's in that last other mansion? Oh no one just Eva and Scribe.

Nonetheless, submissions for OC's for the kingdom are very much open and welcome <3 Frankly, I'm still scratching my head now on who I'll add next. My to-do list will likely be Crownus and Pipi, then whoever else!! If not Mii-making, then I'll get started on the town square area :DD

LIGHTHEARTED INCREDIBLY LIGHTHEARTED AHWGHASGJHAGJ AND PRIMARILY A JOKE I THOUGHT OF SINCE I GOT INSPIRED BY THIS don't take it seriously!!! IM PRETTY SURE WHEYLAN WOULDN'T SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT ABJGJASG

I ironically find it funny how contrasting their sexual levels are, to go on a more realistic note, I sadly fear they wouldn't be quite healthy in practice, but as a concept, they amuse me. It's an interesting detail to know that Wheylan is fascinated by things that could end his life, the Interloper being a testament to that. It was so fun to purposely have the Interloper's clawed hands free and hovering over his neck.

At any moment if he'd like, Wheylan's mind could become his. But assuming this is set where in it was Wheylan caring and keeping the Interloper hidden, it's only natural he wouldn't dare harm his lord. I only bring it up since Eden would feel,,, hurt to know that the wheelwright thinks of him dangerous. But I also giggle in the possibility of Wheylan being very into it and Eden just doesn't realize it so he's just lowcenuinely taken aback with a "huh" if instead of fear its arousal he hears in the Wheelwright's voice 🥀HI BEE IF THIS IS INNACURATE JUST BRING IT UP AND SUE ME 💔

I GENUINELY LAUGH AND GIGGLE because I think it'd gen catch Eden so offguard. And here he thought he'd have to hurt his savior BUT HE SUPPOSE THIS IS GOOD TOO??

RAMBLING BELOW CUT !!

UGH they're a very hard thing to balance </3 I think realistically their relationship could go south very easily, but it's nice to think of the nicer aspects of it yknow? To think of it in a proper lens, Eden isn't in the right headspace to be in a relationship, It's what makes him my most likely to be toxic with how easily he could become obsessive and possessive. His delusions and limited senses distort his reality. It'd be too easy for him to think that the kingdom was taking Wheylan away from him, and what then when the Interloper decides to take matters into his own hands?

I think I'd need to understand further about Wheylan's ability as well!! I frankly like the idea of the shadows being there to guide Eden <3 its a nice thought. But I also sadly think eden would get fussy and argue he'd want Wheylan, not them to guide him 💔dramatic fuck SIGH!!! FORGIVE ME WHEYLAN HE'S A RED FLAG YOU CAN DO BETTER 😭

But to emphasize, I don't think,, Eden means it sometimes. Of course, he doesn't want to be like this. He doesn't like being blind and chained and reliant on his savior. Of course he wishes his mind isn't haunted by hallucinations and delusions. But can you really blame him to hold on just a bit tighter? You're all he has.

Added ramble!! I ENJOYED DRAWING THIS SO BAD!! Ill be posting a goodnight ramble after this and It will likely include two speedpaints for tonight's doodles and an entry of my thoughts for today <3 but I do hope I drew Wheylan to justice. It was great information to know his hair was 4c if im correct? 4b? And I hope I drew him so handsomely </3

The yapping starts here

My thoughts on Darkcage goes into each separate character and how they interact as a group. Theres many things and scenarios that could happen that me, C and Bee have all talked about in one point or another. But to prevent anything that I forgot was a spoiler or to prevent me from mischaracterizeing them this is a very duke centered explanation.

As a group: they might work? Its complicated. They each have their own issues. Their flaws. relying on survival is the main thing that is on their mind. So romance is honestly a second thought. Although with how much they snuggle and seem to care. Its like a romance that is only said first by Eden as he is very direct and then the others agree to it. Dukemir is blind as a bat when it comes to romance. Despite being so charming that a lot of puppets romantize him, he doesn't exactly know the difference between platonic and romantic. So he will have to be told directly by Eden and Wheylan that they are dating. You could sloppy make out with Dukemir and he'd still say you're a good friend unless you ask him out. Wheylan is just a bit shy when it comes to confessions but Dukemir is just straight lost. They all have 0 expirence which I find quite hilarious Because their mostly just winning this whole romance thing while also trying to not get caught. There is still a lot of things that can go wrong...

Eden:

Eden in their relationship takes a large priority, not only due to him being very sensitive when it comes to the other two being away for too long. Also being a prisoner that since escaped is probably heavily searched for. Duke and Wheylan take turns being around Eden. Although I imagine Eden prefers if they are both present. He finds that one of them will atleast suffice. Although for Eden it will take a long time for him to be reintroduced into society. Much more time after that to believe that he belongs with Dukemir and Wheylan. Bee mentioned them giving Eden a bath and a new change of clothes. They cuddle together on the bed and enjoy eachothers touch and company. Eden is unstable and with the more freedom he is given the more likely he will do something. There will be trenches. There will be issues. But together they may find a way to solve them. With time and patience.

Wheylan:

Wheylan's belief that the others have bigger problems then him bound to cause problems. Not only will Dukemir disagree and attempt to reassure Wheylan that he matters too, but there are so many ways that Wheylan's obsession with death and enabling could accidentally encourage Eden and Dukemir's unhealthy habits. Wheylan also has unhealthy ways to deal with going through things to the point where somethings are definitely going to have their issues. It may cause Eden to spiral a time or two. Time... Time that Dukemir doesn't have. Oh that sweet loving slow burn? You thought this was going to be the universe where they get together and live happily ever after? No. Dukemir's time is much more limited than he realizes. His body is decaying by the day, every move he makes, another chip of his puppet shell comes flying off. Everytime he uses his ability to help others? Another body part cracks and crumbles. He doesnt tell anyone. He doesn't mention it. No one will notice. He lives in utter agony but tells absolutely no one. He hasn't been to the healers in years. He doesn't need them to tell him that he only has so much time left. He doesnt want to put that burden on them. Much less his lovers. They obviously need him to stay strong. They need him to keep them safe. He will do so. Until his last breath.

THE DUCHESS's last occurrence with the king has left an unbearable mark on her to this day. It's one that haunted her to the point of depression that left the Duchess to isolate herself within her home for years or such. Going more in depth on that comic, I cant recall if I shared,,, but reasons for so many bad memories come from how helpless and small she felt in that instance.

I think Id just reheat nachos saying this haha but genuinely, Duchess prior to that interaction NEVER had any altercations with anyone else, but with Crownus, she genuinely thought she was going to die. And even when he threw her to the side, she still feared that she'd be killed and had to plea even as she chokes on her blood.

Even after being told to leave the room she had to walk back to her estate on her own, tears clouding her vision, unable to even explain herself to her own court servants trying to assess her wounds because of the blood. I think what would also haunt her is the coughing, I imagine Duchess coughed a lot as she cried. The lingering pain afterwards is something that will haunt you.

Case in point, it traumatized her. It made her feel so small and weak I can't emphasize how depressed she was that the reason the Evaine estate was silent for so many years was the fact Duchess wouldn't leave her room or her bed.

Even in the present as she holds herself high, I think that experience shaped her in the sense that she feels the constant need to have control to feel safe. Anything other than that where she feels exposed, small or vulnerable is sort of like a trigger to her I suppose? If she's in a situation where she knows her influence is slipping it'd make her panic, because the last time she allowed herself to 'slip' she almost died (TO HER, it felt like it. Duchess thinks about how Crownus likely considered killing her but didn't.)

It's why she's so guarded and cold. Which is also a cause of tension because she'd sort of hate the person she is now. WHICH IS SO CONFLICTING FOR HER because she FEELS the need to be like this, because otherwise she'd think about all the ways where it can go wrong - but god she can't stand to look at herself anymore when she doesn't feel like the same person.

I always imagine there's this theme of innocence tied to Duchess and how ever since her confrontation with Crownus, she feels she's been sullied. Dulled. Maybe a bit overdramatic but she fears she's not as perfect as she used to be, fears that she's not the same Duchess her estate loves so dearly.

THE VIGILANTE hates to think of it, since it'd be one of the few reasons he began to take his work more seriously. But the last time he was imprisoned scarred him heavily. And I mean literally. This is supposed to be something to be shared in the future but I dont mind sharing it here I suppose <3

But I shared before Vigil's DEFINITELY Been caught by the knights sometimes. For Vigil's part, he didn't have much bad experiences with the prisons because usually, he'd escape. He'd find a way out. That was the game. The knights chase, he either slips away but if he does get caught, he lounges in the prisons, and finds a way to leave. It's one of Vigil's few highs where he knows he can escape and find a way out.

So color him surprised when the knights didn't entertain him anymore. When they caught him, they caught him. Brought out all of the heavy chains, anything they could find. Binded his wrists, his neck, and fittingly for Vigil, he wouldn't be too concerned. Probably would say something like snarky like, "All this for me?" while the knights sneer and roll their eyes.

But it's when he's being escorted to his cell does he realize then how deep a hole he's in. Where the many routes and solutions that usually come to him easily don't come up because there's just,, little way to get out of this. He was slipping, and he hated that thought.

When the guards locked the cell door, it definitely unnerved Vigil more than he thought. I imagine the whole time he tried to play it cool. To not react, to be quiet and let them think he was calm. When the knights finally go, leaving the thief of thieves to the silence of his prison, he doesn't move.

I imagine Vigil faintly moving, writhing his hands and craning his neck to see how badly bound he is. As if trying to see still if there was any way out. I'd love to be more eloquent in my writing but I'll just be straight, but he likely panics then. For someone who thinks so little of his life, he still wants to live, and living it in a prison isn't how he imagines it. And he wanted out.

I never shared his ability did I? But to continue, when his breathing becomes erratic - like panic attack happening!! It'd slow down. Vigil seemingly calming.

Before raising his head, and smashing it against the wall. A constant Thud, Thud, Thud against the wall. Bashing whatever's there of his face to allow blood dark as ichor leave him. If he can't access his arms, he'd have to improvise. Even when he feels each scrap of his puppet shell being broken in.

Hours later, the outlaw escapes, and hasn't been caught since by the knights.

That's a short debrief on how Vigil's face became what it is today haha, Vigil's not proud of it. It haunts him in the sense he didnt like how,, constricting and claustrophobic he felt that day in the cell. And he would've hated that feeling of failure, because that would be one of the few times he 'slipped'.

But he's smarter now, and knows better than to be reckless.

THE INTERLOPER can think of many, there isn't exactly one that haunts him. A lot of things do. The faces of those he harmed come and go, the image of his trusted father holding that icepick over his eyes, the knight's efforts in detaining him. So many of them haunt him daily, and with the time he spent in the dungeon below - all of those memories took their sweet time to break whatevers left of his sanity.

He hates thinking about any of them, because he hallucinate so often. Hear voices that aren't there and mistake people for someone else. Spend that long by yourself with only your thoughts, you'd begin questioning your reality too. I think it's made worse since Eden's blind, and with his hands binded, his sense of touch his taken from him as well.

Leaving him with less anchors to know what is real and what is not. He'd hate all of them because it'd dig in even more on how broken down he is. He isn't proud of who he is today. I think he'd also hate to remember all the times Prieston visited him and instead of freeing him would just read out bible verses and tales. I like to imagine some of those 'readings' stuck with Eden, I wanted to do a doodle someday of Eden randomly repeating some lines. Because I feel he'd memorize some.

THE DEVIL has little memories that haunt him truly. Considering how distant he's made himself from the king and overall Castle, it gave him the benefit of coming out unscathed and unharmed for the most part. Well, aside from one.

This is moreso a tidbit for myself, but I like to imagine at least once, Luci was summoned by Crownus to the castle. Naturally the King would learn of the Devil, him and his proud performances that could rival the king's jesters.

I imagine Luci summoned to the throne room and when brought before Crownus, was given one command, "Kneel."

The devil's crimson mask stared back to the kingdom's sovereign, and lowers himself, taking himself upon the knee and keeping his head low. I like to imagine through the mask his emerald eyes glowed sharply. Jestyn forced to watch by Crownus' side, and to keep his silence.

I like to think Crownus, while not that threatened, still felt the need to dominate Luci in some way. While there was a bit of controversy regarding his role as the devil, Luci was still infamous and beloved to a degree. And I mentioned before due to the nature of his role, Luci and the Angel are sort of like Outsiders. Not part of the kingdom, and therefore puppets outside the king's reach.

That wouldn't settle with Crownus lightly. And such, he wanted to make an example of him. I think what could be worse is Crownus' court was probably there.

The memory doesn't haunt Luci too heavily, but he doesn't think fondly of it. I like to imagine it akin to how Olrox had to bow to Erzabet in Castlevania Nocturne!!

What would make them cut someone off forever?

THE DUCHESS would cut off someone she believes she couldn't trust anymore, especially if she feels personally unsafe around them. I think a fitting one as an example would be someone like Dukemir. I don't think she's actively cut him off, but she's currently keeping him at arms length.

This would hurt her heavily because Im sure once upon a time they were dear friends, but with how he is now, she'd fear the worst. She wouldn't see the courageous and kind Duke everyone else does because she'd worry over his tendencies to overlook things. If he can so easily overlook Countine's suffering and death, allowing the Count to stay by his side and still call him a friend, then she wouldn't be sure if she can see Dukemir the same.

If he can so easily brush the Countess off while letting the Count remain free, how easily would he think little of the Duchess when she is in a time of need? I compare Dukemir sometimes to Captain Curly from mouthwashing in that sense. If you knew what Curly did, vouching for Jimmy despite what he did to Anya - would you trust Curly?

Like that.

THE VIGILANTE would cut someone off if they change for the worst, and remain like that. Honestly a bit hard to answer this one haha, but I think Vigil would be saddened to see a friend turning to the worst and not letting themself the kindness to recover and improve. Especially if they don't see reason.

He doesn't want to see them as an enemy. If he could, he'd wish for them to stay as his friend. But if not, then he likely wouldn't keep in touch. I think he'd cut off people as well if he can't recognize them anymore. Though I guess thats the same as the first one haha.

THE INTERLOPER would cut someone off if.. I won't lie this stumped me for a bit haha. But I always imagined if Interloper was given the chance to steady his mind and finally given some time to heal, he'd see the many ways he'd be unhealthy for someone and cut himself away from them if he deems them unsafe.

I always get sad when I think about if you are patient enough with Eden, and allow time to pass, he would probably calm down enough to be coherent and think clearly. Clearly enough to be reasonable and be a bit like his old self. To have the rationality to know that he's been hurt. But he also wouldn't want to hurt you.

I imagine an Eden that's been given time to think, and when he sees his relationship with you for what it is: obsession, he'd leave you. Because what you had was not love. I always feel like in most of Eden's relationship, be it with DarkCage, Eva, MC, or anyone really. When he's finally given clarity, he'd realize that their relationship and friendship is built on obsession and would question the connection between them both.

Did what you both have was true if it was obsession? It'd leave a bad taste on his mouth. Because when you let Eden finally think, he'd know that he can't heal like this. Not when he obsesses over you. And would want to leave. Would feel like he has to. I'm sure I can answer this better, and this may be up for change, but this is what I'll leave with!

THE DEVIL would cut off anyone whose eyes are clouded by hate, Luci would not linger near people who have let their hatred imprison them. He'd be willing to lend an open hand, to allow them a view not mirked by their ire, but if they are unwilling to change then he fears that is a faith of their own making.

He wouldn't like people either who would want to control him, he'd understand individuals who have need for control but I don't think he'd think highly of those who claw for power and such. I don't think he'd like hedonistic people either.

I won't lie to you Luci is very simple haha, but I also think he'd cut off people who only see him for what he is, the devil. And nothing beyond that. I fear there's probably a small portion of people in his life that constantly categorize him as a monster and only that, and WANT him to be that when he's,, more than that!!!

I'm really trying to think for Luci here,,, He wouldn't like individuals that are cruel either. That cause needless suffering. He'd never understand people who mistake cruelty for strength. He can forgive ignorance, he can forgive poor judgement, but deliberate malice is not one that settles easy with him.

What justification do they use for the worst thing they’ve done?

THE DUCHESS | Admittedly this is a hard question to answer haha, but she'd probably justify herself often with the thought process that this is right, that it is what needed to be done as a Duchess, to protect her house and people, and herself. I can't say what the worst thing she's done, because there wouldn't be any aside from her admittedly cold demeanor.

But I imagine The Duchess,,, follows along with the general nobility in having plans of her own. Of making negotiations and deals with other puppets not because she wants more power but because she believes it'll prevent harm and keep her house safe. If other Lords and Ladies hire puppets to kill others, Duchess would hire dangerous mercenaries or individuals to be by her side. Like,,, keeping guns off the street.

I'll take,,, beast master or Page's behemoth as an example! I don't imagine him as a popular puppet within the kingdom, but I can imagine the multiple ways courtiers and nobles would want him on their side to use and exploit him. Likely with the thought process of 'oh, the beast tamer can be a fine weapon if used properly' and to prevent that, the duchess gets to him first.

THE VIGILANTE | Would reason its for the greater good as well, he designates himself as a sort of Peacekeeper that keeps the neutrality within the kingdom. If nefarious nobles thinks it their right to exploit others for their goals, then Vigil is in the right to stop them. That's. very bare bones sorry THIS QUESTION IS INCREDIBLY HARD BUT my writers energy is going,, downnn

THE INTERLOPER | Justifies it because he's in the right to do so, especially if hes hurting others in the name of his Lord. His moral compass is already skewed to be fair. And because at that point, his empathy would be very low for other puppets and people.

THE DEVIL | I genuinely can't think much for Luci as well, but I imagine his only justification is because he can. Compared to my puppets, I imagine Luci, despite the friendly and amiable mask he presents himself, can be very formidable. And powerful. He just restraints himself and has morals.
